HSA Nightmare

I fell behind with my mortgage payments with country wide 4 months I tried a repayment plan but the payments were to high tot keep up with so I was in the process of putting the house up for a short sale when I received a letter from countrywide saying that I had been approved for the home savers advance program I signed and sent back the documents in the middle of may and as the letter stated I resumed my payment in June, I called countrywide to check on the status and they replied that this was a new process and was going to take some time and if I had any question they referred me to the heart team and when I called the heart team they state that they have no information on my account other than that the paper work was received on the 22ed of march and was being sent to countrywide. They also assured me that the acct would not go in to foreclosure and any late fees would be waived I kept calling both country wide and the heart team they only again informed me that this was a new process that was going to take time now that I resume payments I find out that I am still a month behind because a months payment went towards foreclosure fees the house went to fore closure on the 5th of June and came out on the 6th I don't feel that I am responsible for these fees as the acct was in review for assistance but country wide says that onece an attorney is involved that there is nothing that they can do. I have tried getting help from both countrywide and the heart team but they just shuffle me back and fourth. Please help. Can the foreclosure fees be reversed who should i talk to?

Re: HSA Nightmare

Gabby,

You may want to call the Home Retention Dept at Countrywide. Home rentention and Heart are both extremely busy areas right now but that should not be an excuse. CW and the other lenders are trying to staff up for this crisis but is turning into too little too late. Just keep calling and emailing and fighting.

Re: HSA Nightmare

Welcome Gabby.....don't let them get you too down. I've been there, yes, and they come up with fees for everything.
Follow the advice from Moe and Cat and any other staff on here. There is hope.
