Angry Countrywide Nightmare!

Good afternoon,
I am also dealing with Countrywide Work Out division, since October to no avail. I have called and talked to so many people and everyone tells you a different story. I now have the name of my negoiator, that I can't even pronounce. Even if I could she is never at her desk, leaving a message means absolutley nothing, there are no calls back. I am in a option payment plan nightmare. My percentage rate is 8.75% so I can only make the minimum payment, which I have made every month on time, but my balance is going up. And the interest is so high I can not afford to make the interest only payment that would keep my balance from going up. So I am waiting, and calling, and waiting. I am trying to keep faith, that I will one day hear from my negoiator, between now and before God calls me.

Thank you for the forum.

Exclamation Re: Countrywide Nightmare

We got our loan from Countrywide 2-1/2yrs ago. We are trying to get help from them by Loan Modification. I was trying to get help since July of 2007 since my adj rate will go up August of 07. I send our application 7 times via mail, and 6x time with rep on the phone. But none, even one called us back to let us know what had happened to our applications. Now we are tried to Loan Modification, we send everything they wanted, but they said we are not qualified for loan modification. I used to pay $2355 monthly, now with rate change $3500 + HOA.

Re: Countrywide Nightmare

Thanks for your stories and this is something that is all too common. Especially with Countrywide. Lost faxes, missing paperwork and poor communication are the norm. It's very frustrating and stressful.

Graysona, it sounds like you have a negative amortization loan or an Option ARM? My understanding is that they are not modifying those. But, I could be wrong. I did hear Angelo Mozilo say that they weren't on CNBC, but I may have interpreted it wrong.

Have you tried seeking help from a non-profit? 888-995-HOPE

4bygrace, did they say you don't qualify because you have too much income or not enough?

Re: Countrywide Nightmare

Countrywide s***s. I hope they go down the drain. I too dealt with them about my neg. arm adjustable loan rate. I tried to tell my situation to them that the loan officer did not disclose the proper info. (hiding the bad stuff and giving us the good to be true info.) plus my husband and I closed the house on the weekend which was Sat. CW knew it's wrong. CW talked to the notarize, I can't believe the notarize lied and stated that we closed on Friday on Oct. 27, 2006 at 3:30 and my husband is still out of town. I have never seen the notarize in my life because that Saturday it was the loan officer, my husband, myself, and his stupid loan papers. Why we signed on Saturday, because he said it is how he serve his customer. CW said since we are signing out of the office there should be a HUD something whatever it called needs to be sign. If that thing didn't get signed then we must've signed in the office. I don't know all this crap.

Stupid CW said they couldn't do anything and my husband and I needed to deal the situation with the mortgage broker/loan officer. I know they don't want to do the corrections or modifications because of not wanting to lose any $$$$. I can't believe the loan officer sold our soul for $7899.00. He sure maxed us up like a credit card.

They can kiss my a## and keep the house because that's what CW is asking for. Now they're going to complain and said we can't hold on to anymore homes in the front headline newspaper or t.v.

S##t, nobody better not said it your fault and you signed it or blah blah. If I was a loan expert, I would never hire those s#@t head loan officers to do my loans, I would do it myself just like the Realtors (if I was one).

F*&k them all.

Re: Countrywide Nightmare

Aherr can you supply proof your husband was out of town on the day the loan was supposly signed on Friday? If so you may have a major case I would think.

OK, aherr, I need you to tell your story in the Tell Us Your Story section so we can see what's going on with you. But I would say, that you have been defrauded based on what you posted above.

Please post there and tell us it all. Thanks.
