| | | Pay Countrywide while going through Loan Modificiation I figured out how to get around their online payment system. Since they block it once you start a modification. Go to www.checkfree.com. I do use this for other bills and had it for countrywide. And since my modification I have been using it to make payments. usually when you send a payment it shows on countrywide web site the same day 12pm EST. in your transaction history. then you also have the proof of payment through checkfrees site too.

| | | Re: To countrywide people going through modificiation Very cool.
Now the question is - would they simply reverse the payment and send the money back to you via Checkfree? I guess I'm wondering if they'll allow it to "stick". | | Re: To countrywide people going through modificiation

| | | Re: To countrywide people going through modificiation well they havent reversed mine the last two months ive been going through modification. But if they did I report them to the attorney general and everything else since i would have plenty of proof of payment. | | Re: To countrywide people going through modificiation | |

| | | Re: To countrywide people going through modificiation Thats great inside info there sswiz. You see lenders and servicers make money off the fees when your delinquent and in default. The fees do not stop nor does the foreclosure process, and they will gleefully tell you not to make your payment while the "fees" add up. You make the payments and you have proof and they will not be able to charge you for bogus fees.
If you can make your payment, by all means make it. | | Re: To countrywide people going through modificiation

| | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod. You are not a heel, the loan that you probably got was a toxic, rotten and land mine ridden affair. If you can get the modification to relieve some of the stress of every day life, do it. You are not doing anything wrong, what was wrong was the adjustable rate nightmare that they probably put you in.
I am glad the auto finance folks are working with you and remember with Country Wide, they will never, ever call you back, you must the responsible adult at this party, be proactive, focused and determined.
My advice, call, call, call and fax, fax, fax...when you fax make sure that your name, property address, loan number and last 4 of SS# are on all pages of the fax or they will get lost. Not maybe, but will. Even then I recommend faxing three times, that usually gets it to the right place. | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod.

| | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod. customer service has called me twice, to tell me that the negotiator is still working on it. I try to always answer the phone now to show them i am trying to communicate better. I have called today to check on the status of my modification and have been on hold for like 30 minutes, continously being transferred to someone different. | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod. | |

| | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod. That's great, whatever works. Calling is not working for me, I've called CW many times, I wrote letters many times but no one returned my call.
What works for me is I've emailed all the names that Moe, Andrew, Cat and Poppy listed in this forum, I used their first_last name@countrywide.com
and for some reason my agent gets a call from my negotiator the same day I've emailed them.
Good luck to everyone, I'll pray for you guys.
God bless. | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod.

| | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod. I have been working with the project hope department since November 2007. I have not been deliquent in the past four months. I sent them letters in November, and then again in January. My representative was changed 3 times. I was on the phone for hours.
I was told they came to a modification agreement with me but were unable to contact me. I have all the records of my cell phone and did not receive any calls from them.
I am now starting the process all over.
I make phone payments and ask them to wave the fee and they always do. | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod.

| | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod. Welcome to the forum and thank you for joining...
Could you please start your own thread under Country Wide...it is the Clicky thing at the top of the Left Hand column on the main Country Wide page that says New Thread.
Have you contacted HOPE themselves and tried to get a counselor that is more receptive....or have you contacted HOPE? 888.995.HOPE, they could and will help intervene with Country Wide and assist in this process. They are likely to get a little more respect and can push if they are good at the process. If you have a counselor that is letting this fall through the *****s at HOPE, then call them and get another one....this is to much for anyone person to spend that much time with.
You do have to stay on Country Wide Daily with call, call, call and fax, fax, fax or you will fall through the *****s in the system. | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod.

| | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod. Thanks for he Tip! We are still trying on our loan mod. and to add insult to injury this month, they blocked us from making our payment online.( which we are still current on ). I had a checkfree account and went on and paid it that way. The very rude lady in customer service ( I think it was debt person ) said she could take the payment on the phone but I DO NOT TRUST THEM ONE BIT! | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod. | |

| | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod. Thank you for letting me share. I can't sleep or eat. I cry spontaneously. I'm a single mother who works 16 hours a day. I got behind on my mortgage. I was working with a guy at Countrywide to catch up. He assured me I would not go to foreclosure, and as I left message upon message, I was being put into foreclosure after 2.5 months of being late. I'm keeping this very short..so hope it makes sense. On December 17, 2007, I was told I had received a deal with countrywide to add the behind amount to the end of my loan and was told to get a money order for the 'down payment'. I did all of this. Called back after 10 days had come and gone (documents never came for me to sign), and was told 'it's on its way'. I waited. It would not be until 2/28/08 that I would find out that no 'deal' existed. I have been told to wait 5 days for a call back for countless weeks now. I have only 1 month left until they take my home. I still have the money order, and am still not receiving calls back. I feel as if they tricked me. I have documentation, and witnesses to the entire process...people who heard the conversations while it was on speakerphone while I took notes. What can I do with only 4 weeks left? I have almost enough money to reinstate, but with the attorney fee's, and appraial fee's, etc., I can't do it. I can only come up with the amount past due. Any suggestions? Why do they say they want to help and then do this to people?
Wanting so very badly to save my home. Please help.... | | Re: Pay Countrywide Online While Going Thru Mod.
