| Countrywide home loan No modification his letter is in response to loan # XXXXXXX
In May 2006 with the assistance of name removed, a former Countrywide Mortgage Broker, I secured a mortgage to purchase my home. At the time of securing a mortgage, I was just coming out of a paid off Chapter 13 bankruptcy and I requested a fixed loan. Mr. Broker steered me away from a fixed loan and assured me that within two years I could refinance the ARM mortgage ( because the appraisal was for $ 104,000 and I purchased my home for $ 94,000.
On or about October 2007 I began to call Countrywide and try to refinance as I knew I could not afford the interest rate of over 14% from the current interest rate of 12.6%. I talked with many different
individuals and was told many different things to do.
In January 2007 I faxed all the documents requested of me to begin the process for deed in lieu of foreclosure for which I have never received an answer. Next I was assigned a Workout Negotiator, Cindy Carranza, a person whom never negotiated anything with me. Again ,I was assigned another Workout Negotiator, a Ms. Kitchen, an individual that NEVER returned my many calls or emails sent by supervisors. Again, an negotiator that NEVER negotiated anything with me.
Moreover, I recently received a letter from the Home Retention Team dated 5/14/2008 stating they were pleased to advise me that my loan modification has been approved. The forms are enclosed for review and the papers include no interest or terms; without a modification or an interest rate stated. Please note in paragraph three of the May 14,2008 letter that my payment is subject to change if my escrow account is reanalyzed or if I have an adjustable rate loan type( which I do). This proves to me that no one helped me and nothing has changed.
Lastly, Mr. Mozilo, I have been following this in the news and I was under the distinct impression that you promised President Bush that you would help people like me and you received funding to do so.
I would like to be considered in any class action law suit which may result from the practices of Countrywide as a consumer that has been forced into foreclosure.
