    Underwriter?

I'm trying to find out who my underwriter is or even if my file is in underwriting. My negotiator says she is not given that information. I've called just about every where and every person is as useless as the last. How did you find out who your underwriter was?

I don't understand how it is acceptable that we, as the customers, are not kept informed. So frustrating!!
Oct- Called to apply for MHA loan modification
Oct- Received FedEx package with trial payments
Nov. 11- Confirmation that BofA received all docs
Nov. 29- Made 1st trial payment (due 12/1)
Dec. 1- File completed and sent to underwriting
Dec. 29- Made 2nd trial payment
Jan. 4- Online status is "Referred"

    Jan. 11- Contacted OOP
    Jan. 26- Assigned negotiator
Jan. 29- Made 3rd trial payment
Feb. 25- Made 4th modified payment
March 15- Perm mod paperwork delivered!!!

    Re: Underwriter?

In my case, my underwriter was in a totally different part of the country and I don't think she actually works for BofA. I think BofA is farming a lot of this out to subcontractors.

The last time I spoke with my Negotiator (after I had received and returned my final mod docs), she didn't even know that my final mod had been through underwriting and completed.

    Re: Underwriter?

How I found out who it is when I got the request to send in more documents, I asked if I can address it to a person directly they gave me the first and last name to the underwriter. I was explaining my case to the OOP I told them who my underwriter was and they where able to track him down. I spoke to my underwriter he said I would be my perrmanant modification in 1-2 weeks, well that was about 3 weeks ago. Now I am stuck with the villiage idiots at BoA saying your file in review, but then I told them my underwriter left notes, ah I see them well just hold on your documents will come. I have left messages to my underwriter but no call back-well I guess we will see.
What cant these dip shits at BoA figure out a better online status tool.
    such as
    -appication/RMA/
    -Trial modificaton offer extended
-trial modification complete or if there is missing documents list them
    -Modification is in underwriting
    -Modification is in QC
    -Modification is in investor approval
    -Modification documents are being processed
    -Modification documents sent
    -Modification documents recived
    -Modification is entered
    and
-trial payment 1 recived and so on.
Seems like everyone is just getting this refered status.

I know, their idea of status updates are a joke! This whole process is so broken. I'm sure I'll never be in contact with this pseudo-underwriter, seems to be pretty classified information.

I think there is a reason behind this so that we waive the white flag over our heads-
BoA woudl like like you to drain all of your 401k, other retirement accounts, max your credit cards, bowrow money from family and friends, eventually they would like you to pay them before the IRS. Oh BTW I was advised to do most of these besides the IRS deal before extending me a trial modification. I made it clear why would I do this, I would rather go to the Strip or Downtown Vegas and throw my 401k account on casino games that would have a better payout them my underwater home.

so hear I sit looking at a account that has a refered status for 2 months and words from the village idiots with not calls back from the folks that said your file was approved.
