Some info that might help those waiting for Mod

I appled for a modification back in April...got a fedex from the HOPE dept reducing my payment $240. Signed and sent back...
Some troubles trying to find out if fedex was received..
Some trouble getting my account updated.
After about at least 50 phone calls..everything updated except my escrow..
Please be advised that when your mod is almost complete they wait until your investor gives them the amount that was added onto your principal balance for escrow that was unpaid.
That took at least 2 and 1/2 months...phone calls...emails...etc. Finally updated yesterday.
It was a LONG process but I got through it. I just wish I had gotten the HAMP program but I dont think I can go through this process again. My debt to income ratio is now 38%.

Why weren't you able to get HAMP? In a few weeks we will be making 3rd trial payment through HAMP.

I dont know why they did not offer hamp...I wish I had gotten it..my mod was directly from the HOPE dept.

To be clear, you received a straight up modification, no trial , right? You signed it, then 2 and 1/2 months later they adjusted your account accordingly. When was your first payment due after signing the agreement?

BTW, you said you received it directly from the HOPE team, is that the one with a Colorado address?

FYI, HAMP trial and the approval process is a headache to no end, so don't feel bad you didn't get it.
