Keep Fighting! - Loan Modification Forum

I just wanted to thank this forum for helping me fight back. I finally after 14 months have what appears to be a starting point for a reasonable modification. I used lots of information gathered from here to help me.

Some details:
I have a jumbo loan so I can't do HAMP. I have an 80/20 which is probably $200K under water, would be $300K after the modification. Went to OPP in Aug with no help then to BONY two days ago (next day I had a call from a very helpful person.)

The offer is a small reduction in the rate on the 1st & a big one on the second. On the face the new rates are great but when you add the missed payments & taxes in the payments are about the same as before.

To those of you fighting, keep fighting you can make a difference and get some help.

Thanks mybailout. Kind words go a long way. Many people have been trying for over a year to get a modification. Some people, even longer. This forum has helped me tremendously. Thanks again.

Thanks for the encouragement, only been here less than a week and I'm glad to hear from so many how this forum has helped so many.
