Home Retention Services, Inc

So I called the number on my HomeSaver forbearance agreement last night. I'm now 3 months in and just made my 3rd payment. I get this message saying "thank you for calling Home Retention Services Inc."

So I'm thinking this isn't Fannie Mae or BOA, now there is a 3rd party involved....

Did some more research and found out:

McLean, VA – As part of its support for President Obama's Making Home Affordable program, Freddie Mac (NYSE:FRE) today announced an agreement with Home Retention Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Lender Services, Inc., to help several regional servicers process thousands of additional applications for Home Affordable Modifications.
Specifically, Home Retention Services will assess the eligibility of delinquent borrowers with Freddie Mac-owned mortgages for Home Affordable Modifications or other possible workouts and process borrower financial information for the servicers' review and approval.

I dug a little further and found this website:

Stewart Lender Services - Products

Anywho - I spoke with a representative on the phone, very pleasant folks, and they said I would be hearing more from the servicer BOA closer to the end of my agreement, I told them I can't get anyone at BAC to call me back or return my phone calls...

Re: Home Retention Services, Inc

I was offered the same forbearance back in June but declined it because of recent increase in income. I was very confused about it so I called the good ol' 800 number and opted to leave a message for someone to call me back. The person who called was with Stewart Title so they have been around at least since June.
