$20 over the phone payment fee

Why do they keep on insisting I pay this fee when I call into make a forbearance payment, I cannot tell you how many times my negotiator told me I should not be charged this.

Now I am hold while they are looking into it, I'm trying to make my 3rd payment today, and am on my 3rd 1-800 number.

Aha got them to waive the fee!

Great job housebroken! There is no reason for them to charge you a 20 dollar fee to pay over the phone. Sounds like another squeeze tactic. (trying to squeeze as much money out of borrowers as possible)

Re: $20 over the phone payment fee

I am on trial period...no forbearance but every time I call in they specifically say that there is NO fee being in this program - HAMP.

Yep.. The package I received with the trial payments states in writing there is no fee to pay over the phone.
