Credit Reporting

Is B of A still doing the credit reporting freeze while the mod is being processed? My credit report is showing lates even though I was current before the trial period (MHA) and my proposal being accepted by NACA.

Any ideas on how I should handle? OOP maybe?

Re: Credit Reporting

I'd contact your negotiator and the OOP.

I was able to get a credit freeze by talking to my negotiator this was back in August.

Sorry to hear this has happened to you, I think it is a total scam that they report borrowers even though they have never been late on their mortgage. Call your negotiator right away and request they put the credit reporting on hold..

This sure is easier said than done...I can never get through and voice mails aren't returned.

I'm going to keep trying though!

Re: Credit Reporting

I totally agree it is much easier said then done. If you can't get a hold of your negotiator try to call in and request to speak with a manager/supervisor and let then know whats going on.

BofA told me a year ago they are not reporting me to credit bureaus. IMHO I think effort would be better spent checking our credit reports than trying to reach the negotiator for this answer.

Re: Credit Reporting

Update:

I checked the CW website earlier and it said that my workout was still being processed, but now I checked and it says that it was approved. Now hopefully my negotiator will call me or I can get their info to address the CR issue.

Thanks everyone for your help - I'll keep you updated.
