Brief backgroud: We are in CA in one of the hardest hit areas in regards to foreclosures and loss of equity. We lost more than $350,000.00 in the value of our home. Contacted CW/BofA back in June 2009 asking for assistance, we were told they could not help us as we were not behind. I explained that we were in danger of falling behind as we had bills mounting and were barely afloat at that moment. The rep I talked to was adamant that they were ONLY helping those behind. DH and I knew we would fall behind shortly and that is what happened. After continued contacts with CW/BofA (and the great information on this board) we took the initiative to fax a hardship letter, bank statements, bills, etc to them to begin the process. Spoke to a rep who took more information by phone and noted our account with the information received both by fax and over the phone. That was 08/12/09. Continuous calls to them after this point garnered the same responses over and over; "It will take 45-60 before we can get to this or you hear from us or before you receive any paperwork", blah, blah, blah. Last week, I did my daily check of our status on their website. Where it used to be posted that they had received our paperwork, suddenly there was NOTHING. All of our information is gone, deleting, trashed. I called AGAIN and the rep on the phone had no explanation. The strange part is we are 4 months behind and very little contact has been received from them. The last letter we got requested a copy of our homeowners insurance policy! I have decided that perhaps an email to the OOP is in order now. I am checking to see if the sticky above is still accurate. Is the information above still the correct place to send my complaint/request to? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Rose |

Evan, I have been calling 800-669-0102 (not sure if that is correct, most of my notes are at home). One last question. Since our loan is owned by Fannie Mae, would it serve me to send a copy of my email to Fannie Mae also? Thanks so much for your help! |

This information will be kept on file for 30 calendar days. After our review process, you will receive a result of the assessment via United States postal mail. Access to this page is disabled until 11/21/2009. If you have had a change in your financial status since submitting the Financial Information Worksheet, please contact us at 1.800.669.6650. Otherwise, you will receive your evaluation results as quickly as they are available. Thank you!
