How long does it take for the trial payment to post?

My first trial payment was posted the next day after I made it over the phone, however, my 2nd trial payment that I made over the phone on September 30th didn't post yet nor was it taken out from my checking account.

From your experience how long does it normally take for payments to post? TIA

I called my trial payment in and got a confirmation #. It was called in on 9/25 and posted to my account and came out of my checking account on 9/29 (but there was a weekend in between).

I called it in early September 30th, she also gave me a confirmation # which looked different than their normal confirmation number which is usually very long. I questioned it but she said that this was due to logging it into a different payment system. How many digits was your confirmation # if you still have it?

WOW!! It took about 6 business days?!! Mine usually took 1 or at the the most 2 days after calling it in, that's why I wondered!

Thanks for your response

Re: How long does it take for the trial payment to post?

Hope67- my second payment took 16 days to process. The 3rd pymt paid on 9/28 still has not been withdrawn from my acct as yet. that being said, as long as you have a confirmation number you should be fine.

I called every two days and document everyone i spoke with along the way who confirmed the payment was rec'd. this may sound a bit extreme, but i wasn't taking any chances.

Perhaps the best way is to send them a cashier's check via certified mail. That way the money is taken out of your account immediately.

overnight, i paid my 4th over the phone with my checking account, using their "fast pay" service, you get a confirmation letter 2 days after, not everyone can pay this way.

Re: How long does it take for the trial payment to post?

The last payment I sent in (3rd trial payment) was received by them on 9/9. It didn't post to my account until 9/15.

I called them twice to find out what the hold up was. Their answer was that they're backed up. I don't buy it.

Our regular house payments were never delayed like this.

Re: How long does it take for the trial payment to post?

WOW!!! I find it very odd that it would take that long to process, I mean in some cases it took 15 to 16 days to process according to the responses I'm getting!!

BTW, I do have a confirmation #

You know what?! I agree, there is something fishy here, I'm really wondering about this. According to the guidelines, if the 2nd and 3rd trial payment are received after the 15th of the month, the servicer can extend the trial period to an additional month!!

As you said, my regular payments used to be posted the next day!!
