(I am iin a 6 month program) We had to get repairs done to my wives car and cannot make the payment until next week. I asked my negotiator if it would be a problem and here is my question and her response: My Email - Hi Jennifer, Am I able to make my October 1, 2009 Forebearance payment no later than 10/15/2009? We had to get some repairs done to my wife’s car this week. If so, at the very least I would like to schedule an automatic payment for that date out of my checking account. Please let me know if this is possible, and how I can set this up. Regards, Response Mr. xxxx, I am sorry, but there are no grace periods with the MHA trial payments. You could call customer relations and set up a automatic payment plan. I am sorry, but I am unable to do that for you Thank you. Trials are very important to be made on time that is why they are called "Trials" - to see if your capable of paying the trial amount on time for 3 months. If can get enough money to your bank should call servicer and have them and do what is called an ACH transfer from your bank by giving them routing number and acct. Most but not all serviers are set up to do this. Or if you have a debit card tied to your account they should take the the payment will be instantly recorded and on time if done by whatever their cut off time is like maybe 5pm. I realize problem may be getting the funds needed. |

No, they are totally different. Forbearance is for a period of time it does not modify the mortgage due just allows some payments to be missed. | |
