What is the NACA process?

I resubmitted my paperwork to BofA to see if they would re-negotiate my current modification, since I received another pay cut. According to the site, it is now under reveiw by an underwriter.

However, a friend of mine went to a NACA seminar in LA this past weekend and got great results. I started the process with NACA a few months back, but never finished because it seemed too complicated. For anyone who went through the process, is it necessary to go out of town for the seminar? Also, do you think it's too late in the process to get NACA involved in my case?

It's not necessary to go out of town, you can make a phone appt. But if you're relatively close to a seminar location, I'd go. (I'm 6 hrs away, so I went via phone) And if you are close to a Save the Dream event, sounds like that might be good to go to. It all takes a long time. Doesn't matter who you are working with. Takes a long time.

Re: What is the NACA process?

How do I go about making a phone interview? Would I just call customer service?

Re: What is the NACA process?

You can actually schedule a phone appt online. Just log in with your member id.
Click on members then look for "Counseling Appointments", this will open up at the side and give you the option to schedule a new appointment online.

It does give you various times and days. But as info (might not happen with you but it did for me) the appointment availability might not be as soon as you would want. The soonest I could get was two weeks out. But I would suggest just trying it and talking to a counselor. Get all your paperwork sent over to them or they will only reschedule you again (Happened to me and I had to wait another two weeks). Hope this helps.
