I have been trying to get mod since about January really started to get on top of things in May they flat out denied me in the beginning and I just trusted them. Then I got a little bit edjumacated LOL and I found this wonderful forum. So I got a lousy proposal from OOP and a lousy proposal from NACA So about four weeks ago I called Customer advocay and spoke to someone he said his name was Bob when I asked him his last name he said Bob. So I didn't take this man to seriously he said that I could get the MHA and My new payment would be 1271 which for me is out of this world I was excited but i didn't believe him no confirmation number just said fax more pay stubs So my one year old ate the paper I thought with the fax number so i had to call right back I got some nasty Julie lady who said there was no Bob Bob which i didn't think there was but anyway a while later I found the paper in the diaper pail. So just because I had to I sent the paystubs to the number like he said I did see some changes on my website but I figured it was Naca. So I get a call friday which was the same day my son broke his ankle and i got this terrible offer from naca which is exactly what i pay now just ten years shorter. So anyway tbe call was a hud approved counselor from Nova debt in new jersey. So we made an appointment for yesterday I didn't tell her my naca affiliation till the end she said she would still call B of A with me but they may not talk to us of course they wouldn't but Stacey (NOva debt) worked her magic and she started talking then she asked me if there was anything she could do for me and I told her explain why someone told me I could get making home affordable gave me figures and then called back and i was told by someone else in oop that they were wrong she told me to hold on came back and said he BOB BOB was right and I actually was supposed to make my trial payment by 9/30 and if I didn't i would probably get ejected from the program I was completely shocked now mind you I had a hud counselor on three way so she took money that i had paid that kept getting put in misc. column and put it towards first trial and then told me there was an extra 665 left over and I could pay them the additional 650 for second trial payment. She gave me a confirmation number told me i would have to submit a letter saying i didn't want to deal with naca anymore and that my paper work could be here in sixty days that they are behind she gave me her name Theresa Wolf. I have to tell you I didn't know what to do the woman from nova debt said it sounded great. Any advice here. I think that i am canceling naca and taking this the price is great and i don't have the paper work put i'm afraid not to jump on this. Anyway the woman from Nova debt is really great I told her about loan safe and she is a not for profit agency her number is 1866-472-4557 She is in new jersey but deals with any state. ext.845670 Good luckk |

I know I've personally emailed both of them to gripe about my case. Maybe someone went in there and knocked some heads together. Or maybe it's just more tricks! Who knows?! I'm sure if anyone there told me oops, you do qualify for MHA, I'd probably jump on it. I would insist they send (or even fax) the documents to your hud person with NOVA since she was witness over the phone. At least you've got that going for you. Good luck! |

Thank you I really am nervous but I think I'm going to send letter to let naca go I am going to call and see if I can have something faxed to me for peace of mind. I also have a friend that signed over a deed for her house she kept the mortgage in her name make a long story short she didn't pay mortgage on her house and they signed deed back over to her but low and behold they did move out of her house but she never recieved the deed in the mail. I was just wondering if anyone knows legally what she can do to get that deed back in her hands they are living in a hotel with three kids I feel terrible. She did know about loan mods and all that when she signed the deed over. If anyone has any advice let me know or if they no a good lawyer with low fees in nj. |

Her husband lost his job they were going to foreclose so to not have it on there credit a friend recommended this couple who was in real estate they paid the 15000 they were behind and they signed the deed over the agreement was that they would keep it there name until this couple got good credit and they could buy it but they never paid the mortgage the house went back into foreclosure so they signed the deed back over to my friend said they would send it to them and packed up and moved. So now that house is sitting there empty not foreclosed on and there living in a hotel because they do not have the deed. So i feel terrible for them and i told her I would find out what i could |

I just thought of this... the servicers are supposed to start reporting HAMP denials to the treasury and the borrower using the new denial codes as of 10/1 so you should be able to at least find out why you've been turned down. |
