I got the president of B of A home mortgages and sent her an e-mail after 2 failed attempts to B of A customer service line. I have a 37% DTI and they told me there was nothing they could do, so I searched on line and found this forum So I sent the e-mail to the B of A mortgage president just describing my hardship and my frustration with their customer service department. I also asked why when the Government gives you BILLIONS of dollars do you turn away people who are (by the MHA website) eligible for help under the MHA guidelines So then two days later at about 9pm I receive a call at my home from B of A rep and asked a series of questions and said he would do research on my account to see if I actually qualify for the MHA program Again about 2 days later I receive another call... this time on my cell phone and the rep informs me that infact I do more than qualify for the MHA program and that I need to fax a hardship letter, pay stubs and bank statements So I faxed them 9/24/2009 and low and behold they show up in my account on 9/25/2009 My question is... what happens next?? What things have other people experienced?? Anything I should watch out for |

OK, like Ohdear says, do that and prepare to maybe do this a few tims until you get real help. Be that squeaky wheel that does not stop squeaking and respectfully tells B O A that you WILL NOT GO AWAY until you receive proper service and action to help you stay in your home. What you need to know is that the HAMP and MHA is 100% voluntary and is more of a smoke and mirrors thing to satisfy Main Street homeowners like it is in fact a program, when it is really a sham. They don't want the whole world knowing it is a sham, so they will help when they feel you have either cost them too much money, headaches or you just wont go away. Here are the traits of all successful homeowners: 1. They deserve a loan modification 2. They have income and true hardship 3. Fighters, but are nice as the beat up the enemy bankers 4. They don't give up and let the banks know that That is the secret. It is like trying to get help in the loan mod Twilight Zone, its there, but weird as hell and you may never make it out. Hope that helps mentally prepare you. Download my book in my signature, that will help some more I wish you the best!

Get every persons name and ID that you talk to with the time and date....this may seem like a pain but you must "CYA" at all costs...We have learned that anything that you send BOA must be sent Signature/Return Receipt requested....or FED EX. Because they always say you did not send it or you failed to send it on time...this included payments for the trial period..We have a letter that states....you no longer qualify for the HAMP because you failed to make your payment on time, if we would have not had the proof we would be out of luck. sniglet in WA |

My confirmation fax report is not valid. I too CYA. Every communication I make is documented. I print out the emails I send and add them to my "correspondence" file. I have many files, very organized and ready to make the banks accountable for taking BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars. Hang on. This forum will help tremendously. We are growing in numbers daily and will be a force to be recognized. |
