Hi I am not sure exactly what to do. I have been told to email Barbara D.
to get some kind of assistance. I do not seem to be getting any satisfaction so I probally will write.
Do you send information about yourself like your hardship letter or just ask to have someone contact you. Please any suggestion?

I am sorry I seem so lost but I am
Thanks in advance for your help

Who told you to e-mail her? Give us a little more info as to why and we'll probably be able to help you with some ideas.

Re: When i email barbara d. Any help in what to write

Just give her a quick rundown of what you have been through and ask that your file get some attention.

My initial contact w/OOP was just a basic 'need help, who to turn to' letter. That's when I got David (woot) and actually ended up w/a great mod. A notary error later, and we're STILL without a mod. I couldn't get a hold of David so I emailed him and CC OOP and now we have an OOP negotiator working to either push through the notary error mod, or a new mod.

Re: When i email barbara d. Any help in what to write

thank you both for your replies. I was told to contact her by one of the members. Maybe i misunderstood.
Quick review about me, I have been in my home for 6 years and I am not under water but I am severly behind. I am seperated from my husband and the house though in my name only was based on our combined income and while he tried to help he was unemployed for a long time. I was forced to declare bancruptcy and was told if you fall behind you will loose the house and stop paying which I did and then all of this came in the picture the HAMP plan seemed like it could save me. I signed up with a forclosure prevention program. I joined them in april and every month they seem like hurry up and fax or they will close up conections. I have faxed the same information over and over sometimes every two weeks with out any change. I looked on the BOA/Countrywide website and it says no documents and if I have not been called by 9/07/09 to call them. I have talked to the people I am dealing with and they say give us two weeks that was three weeks ago.
Sorry not as brief as I intended
Anyway I wrote yesterday because people are getting trials or attention and I was advised to write to the email

Re: When i email barbara d. Any help in what to write

I did a 7. At that time there was no payment plan everything is in bancruptcy car and house if you keep up payments you keep it. If you miss a payment you loose it. That was what I was told by my lawyers. We were keeping the payments and then my husband lost his job and there was NO unemployment. The lawyer told me stop paying you lost it anyway. Save your money and move on. I was going to do this even though I really love my home and then these programs came about.
I do not make extreme money but I can afford a decent mortgage.
I just am so tired of not hearing anything but I do not want to mess up anything if they are being sucessful.
At this point due to the bancruptcy I have nothing to loose if they came back with an impossible price but if I go back to the courts and it is impossible will I be stuck.

Re: When i email barbara d. Any help in what to write

I've been where your at. Long before I found this place But I finally got the mindset that I wasn't going to bow down to FICO and I was gonna do my best to fight for my place. I was 50 when I bought it so its not like I'm in a hurry to move. But I also realize that its just a house and I can always for the kids to take me in. I built their houses , ironic. Its a funny mindset but it has worked for me. And now that were here together fighting I a little more hope of keeping the place. SO you might as well stick around and go down fighting,

Sick & Tired,
In your email, say that you wish to apply for HAMP -- include your mtg #. I assume you know if you qualify for HAMP. You will be requested to send income documents, hardship letter, etc. -- if you had not previously done so.

Not sure what you meant by "back in courts". If during BK7 you did not reaffirm home loan and car loan (which you should not have done!!), you cannot be forced to pay the remaing loan balances. Even if you are able to get a HAMP mtg modification, the BK7 non-reaffirmation still is alive for the new mtg. HAMP requires that a clause be put into the new mtg mod that states that you are not reafirming the new mtg.

Re: When i email barbara d. Any help in what to write

Thanks Roberto, I did not know that the HAMP plan protects the bancruptcy status. I thought if I accept and can not keep up (which I plan to keep up) but I thought I was letting the BK protection go.
I have paid off my car so it is mine. I am so down because I feel I am just wasting valuable time and getting further behind.
Even though I have give all my finacials and fill ed out the HAMP plan I have to send it again right?
Thanks again for the advice

Hello Roberto77

You mentioned that HAMP Requires that a clause be put into the new mortgage / HAMP modification that states you are NOT REQUIRED TO REAFIRM THE NEW HAMP LOAN ---- Sounds good

Can you please direct us to exactly what page number and what section # that Reafirming the loan is not required etc

As in providing us with the PDF www web site access to that HAMP info

I would very much like to see it, as I have been wondering about this very same thing recently

THANK YOU !

Sincerely,

Thanks2U
