Modification help...Has anyone heard of a Nicky Worthington from Barbara desoer's office?

I have been under review for modification since june,when i got a check back date of 8/4...when I called back bac after the 4th they gave me a new date of 8/17....when I called back after the 17th they told me it is still under review and did not give me a new date, I have called several times since then and still get the same answer. Meanwhile all payments i have been making were not applied to my mortgage and held seperately. After reading several threads from this site, I decided to e-mail the office of Barbara Desoer. I received a call the next day on my home phone from a Nicky Worthington from that office who said she was calling in response to my email and left her number and extension. I called her back several times and was never able to reach her, so I left at least 4 messages with my cell phone number. Apparently she called back on the 3rd day of trying to reach her around 7pm on my home phone and left a message to call her back. I have again tried calling her back and always get her voicemail. That was on 8/31, the next morning I checked my workout status on bac website, and where as before it was stating it was under review for modification, it now says that my modification was cancelled because I didn't provide information that was requested. I was never asked for any info or documents by calls,voicemail,mail or email. Upon several more calls to customer advocate's office, I spoke with a Vanessa who gave me the fax # to fax all documents and explained after this fax was received I would be assigned a negotiator within 24-48 hrs. Has anyone else experienced anything like this. PLEASE give me some advice. I really dont want to lose my home I am 2 months behind and always late with my payments.

There were lots of reports yesterday that a computer error canceled a bunch of workouts online. Call in and see if this is the case with yours (sounds like it may be since you hadn't even sent in docs yet). Good luck!

I received a call from Nikki Worthington in early Aug. She said she would check on some things regarding our file and call me back and she never did...

I got a call from Nikki yesterday (it is Nikki) who called me after emailing Barb's office the night before. She re-did all my financial information, and gave the file back to David. He called me an hour or so later and said we're now $215 in the positive, compared to the $1200 deficit we were when we were denied twice before. I would also try calling David and emailing Barbara's office again.

Well I finally spoke to Nikki Worthington today after I faxed all my documents again... She said the documents should be posted tomorrow afternoon. She seemed polite and helpfully answers my questions. She also stated after my documents post she will assign my modification to a senior negotiator and that negotiator should contact me within 24 hrs of being assigned. I will keep posting with any progress. Thanks for the helpful replies.

Just so happens I received a letter in the mail today from Nikki Worthington....she said she cannot assist me due to the fact that I am being represented by NACA...

Anyone who is in contact with her should be careful...if you continue to communicate with her it may lead to your NACA mod being cancelled. The rule is that you cannot work with both Office of the Pres AND Advocacy...it has to be one or the other...

Go figure...

Yup, I was told the same thing. I am canceling with NACA! I'm sorry to anyone who takes this the wrong way, but they are just as bad as Bank of America. They did absolutely NOTHING for me. They sent in the wrong info. for me and never returned my phone calls when I set up a phone interview. I just called Kevin Winn right now and left a message. I also stated I wanted to cancel my account with them. I was told I needed something in writing, but not sure if they'll give it to me since the rep on the phone said they don't give anything out like that.

Just also wanted to add I made about 10 appts with NACA, never once got a call. Nice.

If you read on this board, you will see lots of people never get their phone calls from them.

Some things are a blessing in disguise Melanie, you may be figuring that one out by now. If you needed to be in the MHA program, NACA was never shooting for it.

I believe that, too, Melanie! Not to bring religion into things, but I went to a service one Sunday and the whole thing was about delays and that they were not God's inability but His wisdom. I took it to mean that God was granting BofA adequate time to figure out how to do this right and if they had done it right the first time, I would not have passed the NPV test! I was given time in their delays for my husband to get a promotion, to appeal my property taxes, and for PHFA to review and approve my HEMAP loan application. Now, with even further delays, I should hear about the lowered taxes (and so will BofA because I requested they be sent a copy!). Then, they will have to use the lowered taxes in their calculations. Oh, and the delays have also gotten me to the point where the second lien guidelines became effective. So, I do believe things happen for a reason, we just don't always know why!

Yes. I believe that too. I'm not a very religious person (far from it), but I do believe in God. I have always thought that things happen for a reason and that God is looking out for us and knows what's best. All that you just said, I agree with you. I also think that with mine and my husband's situation that this is happening for a reason- maybe he's going to get a job soon and won't have to collect unemployment anymore, that way we can qualify for a good mod or won't need one (have to use positive self-talk) or something better will happen. And if nothing good comes out of this mess, I will find a positive reason WHY. It does upset me the way the banks are but I need to continue with my life and try to be positive for my sanity and children.

No, they are different. NACA is a hud approved non profit that can assist homeowners.

NACA is the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America. Their Home Save services are free. You can check out their website at www.naca.com and click on the HomeSave link. It explains their services in detail. Many people have had good luck with NACA on getting their lender to "modify" their loan and save their home from foreclosure. I will be honest and tell you that they have been SWAMPED lately, so it does take awhile.

Update.....I just got a call back from kikki.. 24hrs after faxing in all my documents. She said they received them and a negotiator will be assigned within 24hrs..will post when I hear anything new...thx for the responses

Oh, cool. There are a few people on here in Vegas. Where abouts in Vegas are you? I'm near Green Valley. I haven't been able to get a hold of NACA for the longest time.
