She told me that she would have my answer on 8/28 and she would call me. No phone call on 8/28 so I waited until 9/1 to call her. She said that it was still in the approval process and they were 2-3 weeks behind. She said that she would check again on 9/10. I told her we are getting close to my sale date 10/27 and I looked on the Recontrust website and the sale date was NOT reflecting that she pushed it back 30 days like she told me she would when I first spoke to her in the beginning of August. She said that we should not worry about that she would do that if we did not get an approval. NOT WHAT I HAD BEEN TOLD PREVIOUSLY! Am I just being led along? Should I contact Barbara Doeser's office again to get this ironed out? I would not think this should take this long if the investor Fannie Mae has approved the mod. Jessica told me 2 weeks ago she submitted it to them...now she says they [upper management] are finding the "right" mod for me. Not sure what that means. All I wanted was to have the past dues (which are growing every month) rolled into the end of the loan, because I CAN afford my mortgage. I told her again that I wanted the HomeSaver Advance deal (but she still knows nothing about that). What to do? Advice please! |

I don't know if it would do you any good, but have you tried to contact Fannie Mae directly? I know Fannie Mae owns a large bulk of mortgages and are likely just as bogged down as BofA, but it can't hurt to try calling them. Worst case, they say talk to your servicer. You never know until you try. As for being told different info, you could ask for a supervisor or email Barbara. Good luck! |

If I do not get a satisfactory response then I will email Barbara again. This seems to be taking too long. Do you have any contact #'s for executives at Fannie Mae? |

The banks, are flat out disregarding this in most cases.I don't think this is any secret to the treasury department and it will be interesting too see where all this goes. The treasury and state senators are being bombarded with complaints about lenders not following these guidelines. I'm intrested in seeing the next report card the treasury publishes. It would be nice to see these modifications broken down by what type mods are being given, all be it MHA or otherwise. |
