We are currently with NACA and have been since February 2009. Just today, we noticed on the BofA website that our modification had been cancelled and that we didn’t qualify. Should we go ahead and give up on NACA and work with Barbara Doeser (Office of the President at BofA) directly or continue to stick it out with NACA? We did send an e-mail to Barbara today and we received a call back from a woman name Pam within a few hours – she basically said that in order for them to work with us, we would need to cancel our relationship with NACA since they have a contract with them. What should we do? Thanks, Dave |

It was a mistake on their part according to advocacy and was being fixed. |

It looks like they are in no hurry to correct the problem, and thats another problem in itself. Never-ending nightmare. |

Everyones circumstances are very different here. We got our dream MOD after almost 9 months of trying on our own. Then we found this website and NACA and it took another 4 months to get our MOD using NACA. We started with NACA March 5th and had our MOD signed sealed and delivered on June 28th. It appears as though NACA has really headed downhill lately and looks as though they are most likely overwhelmed. I would first make sure where you stand with NACA and then make a decision on who to go with. BOA seems to be trying to get NACA out of the picture and I wouldn't be suprised if they are dragging there feet with the NACA MODS. Good Luck | |

It took them until Jun 09 to get all the paperwork correct, after we had to continue to fax the same thing over and over again because they kept losing it. Then in Aug 09 we were finally submitted for a mod and the info was wrong, income was higher than what we make, bills where lower, etc. We have never heard from our negotiator, Janice Rucker. Then I spoke to David L. and he told me that we were denied. I still have not been informed of this from naca so I have no idea of why we were denied. We had so much faith in naca but after all this we are becoming scared that we will go into foreclosure before we ever hear from naca or our negoitator. Unfortunately, we are going to give the servicer a try, since we have been trying and doing everything that naca has asked us to do and we never get a status report. We will keep you up to date on our progress with the servicer. Good Luck to everyone! |

We can't thank everyone on here enough- you always help. What a wonderful community. Tomorrow we will call BofA first thing and see if the calcellation is an "error" or if it's real. If it is real then we will call NACA and see if they've gotten word from BofA as to our reason for denial. If we have no luck with them then we will go directly through BofA since emailing Barbara D. got an actual response in a timely manner. Thanks so much to everyone!! |

Tell him Janice has never contacted you. He appologized to me today for her not getting back to me and then he updated some things for me while I was on the phone. Really, I think he could be of help to you! Tartbird |
