Call from BofA Negotiator

I received a call from my negotiator about an hour ago, unfortunately I did not answer the call because I was in a meeting. The negotiator left a voice mail indicating that she needed to discuss my loan modification with me. I called her back but I was only able to leave a voicemail.

I hope this means that I am getting a loan modification. This is what is posted on the BofA website.

Processing DateWorkout TypeDocument Type
08/09/2009 Modification LETTER OF EXPLANATION
08/09/2009 Modification PAY STUB
08/09/2009 Modification TAX RETURN/FORM
The above list is real-time and reflects the documents processed to date for this account. We may have received additional documents recently sent to us that have not been processed and therefore do not appear in the list. Please do not call us to check the status of a document not showing in the list as our representatives will not be able to provide any additional information than what is shown here. Thank you for your patience.

They are in the process of reviewing you for a mod. It is not guaranteed based on the online info you will be approved. There are many factors. I hope you get it!!!

Re: Call from BofA Negotiator

Thank you for the explanation and support alikeith. I was hoping there may be a mod on the table but I guess that was wishful thinking.

I will keep everyone posted on the outcome.

Re: Call from BofA Negotiator

Good Luck saint3600! As far as I know I am set to make the trial payments and within the 3 month trial they will review my MHA documents and decide whether I qualify for a permanant mod. Wish me luck!

Just wondering because all the paperwork you show in your account activity is the same paperwork they request for the trial mod workout. They only requested hardship letter, 2 pay stubs, 2 mo bank statements and b/d of monthly expenses to do the pre-qual for the loan mod. Then when they offered the loan mod they requested the tax record and IRS form 4506(provided in package), bank statements and 2 pay stubs. My on-line account reflects they show no record of a workout for this account but I know they have rec'd my mod package.

Re: Call from BofA Negotiator

Hello mojamz,

The information I posted was just the latest posting by BofA. I had previously submitted paystubs, 2yrs tax returns, bank statements and monthly expenses which are no longer displayed on the web.

Good luck with your trial mod I hope everything works out for you.

Re: Call from BofA Negotiator

I would just like to update everyone on the latest news.

I received a call on Monday from a Bank of America rep stating that I should get modification documents within 2 weeks. She did no tell me any details but I am hoping for the best.

I have seen a few other posts of people receiving documents or calls stating they will be receiving them. Hopefully this means they are speeding up the modification process.

Re: Call from BofA Negotiator

saint 3600 - would you mind if I asked how long you have been at this?
Are you behind in your payments?
Is your loan owned by Fannie?
Thanks.

Re: Call from BofA Negotiator

I don't mind. I initially tried to request a mod on my own in December 08 which was denied. I then hired a company which was a waste of time and money. I found this site in May and started following suggestions from the forum which led me to e-mail the OOP. The e-mail went out in July which started the ball rolling, but I had make sure I stayed on top of it and called for status.

I am currently behind 5 months.

No, my loan is not Fannie Mae. They won't release the information regarding my investor. So I don't know who it is, but I know it is not Fannie Mae.

I don't know where I would be without this forum and all the useful information.

Good Luck!!

Re: Call from BofA Negotiator

Saint, CW in Ca would not give me my investor either. His name is Chadd Grogg.

I thought it might be an exotic investor in Dubai. Nope it's Bank of New York.

Call a branch that is not actually servicing your loan and they'll give it to you.

If you want to check with BoNY directly here's their contacts. Don't forget to CC CBS News too.
