Have you filed a complaint with your State Attorney General?

Has anyone filed a complaint with their state attorney general's office.

Recently, I contacted the Florida Attorney General's office because of the big runaround by CW/BoA. They are continuing to hear similar complaints about the bank giving people the big ole' runaround.

They suggested that I file an online complaint with the Florida Atty General because the more complaints they got, the more inclined they were to take action.

I know that Florida Atty General already filed a lawsuit against Countrywide and it was settled. The man I spoke with said that if I had complained back then, before the lawsuit was filed, I would have been included in the settlement that was reached between CW and the Florida Atty General. That's the way I understood it.

And it sounded like the Fl Atty General may likely file again--especially if they continue to get complaints.

Any thoughts on this?

My question is

Re: Have you filed a complaint with your State Attorney General?

I did with the State of Texas, online.
Within a week a got a call back form CW after being turned down for a mod 6 times since 1-4-09.
Now I call into CW today to check the status of my loan mod and I am being told that my file is being managed by the Dept office of the President?
I'm not sure if that is good or bad?
I can tell you though that after the TAG sent CW a letter in regards to my complaint things have been moving alot faster!
We'll see?

One can never tell-- but it appears that this could be a good thing!
At least things are moving faster for you.

Thanks for letting me know. I plan to file soon, as soon as I know what my escrow payments will be for the coming year. My property taxes SHOULD be significantly lower because of lost value...............

Thanks again for sharing. Please keep us informed..

Re: Have you filed a complaint with your State Attorney General?

I complained and forwarded a letter back in June...I actually got a call this week from some in the AG's office (said an attorneyhad a couple of questions about my letter) I answered the questions and they said they'd call back...I was shocked...lets see what happens....
