Call in October? Are they serious!

I am in the beginning stages of a mod and finally saw an update on the CW now BofA website (thank you to past poster for helping me fgure out how to do this). It says they are working on my file and to call in October if we have not heard anything. If we call before, it will delay our modification. SERIOUSLY. Was everyone told to wait a full month before calling. I just have a VERY hard time believing they are working on my mod if I am not speaking with them. Ho hum, just looking for feedback.

Well i just got my HAMP fed ex yesterday checked the website and it told me to call on 9/25. Are you sure you read it right? Check out mine

I believe the purpose is to allow them about 30 days to review your file...they probably don't need 30 days to do everything, but with the volume of files to go through, they are trying to give you a time frame. You could get yours done next week or they may not get to it for a couple of weeks. In any case, they are probably trying to discourage people from calling (they are busy ya know!). As for calling creating a delay, I think that's just a front!

I call as much as possible. I want them to know who I am. I want them to be annoyed with me so they'll finish my file and be rid of me. Don't know if it's working, but it makes me feel better. I was also encouraged to call by my OOP monitor.

What was the timeframe between your first contact with BOFA and the time you got the fed ex? Who did you go through? NACA, OOP, none of them?

Okay, I feel reassured thank you!! I think my negotiator sensed I was about to start stalking the phone line because they called back this morning. I just posted what I was told in the general forum. I'm a little discouraged by what I was told, but trying to remain positive. We are just going so deep every month trying to remain current and our savings is gone.

How does everyone on here know who their investor is? Is the investor listed on the Note?

I was able to find out the investor only by checking with BofA. The negotiator was able to tell me. Hope that helps )
