Arrow How long did you/have you waited for Mod Package?

I was wondering how long people have waited to get their package. I was told 6-8 weeks. I am on week 5 today.

How long did you wait before you received mod package?

And if you haven't gotten it...

How long have you waited so far?

I am speaking of when I contacted OOP and got my negotiator he told me 6-8 weeks from when documents were submitted. So for me this was July 23rd so my 8 weeks will be up September 17th.

sahm2two, my loan negotiator with BoA informed me that they only summit documents on the last week of the month and it would take around 30 days from that date. So if your doc was completed on the 1st of the month, they would summit the doc during the last week of that month. My docs were completed early July and I was informed it would get summitted the last week of July and an offer should arrive around 30 days from that date. We received our Fedex package today.

If that's the case...I submitted on 23rd of July. So they should of submitted them that week and today would be day #36

unless...they submitted them end of this month...so maybe 30 more days?!

Too bad I'm not at home, Suzanne likes to hear Kitty meow into the phone, and it helped to get that 90 day credit reporting hold .

I submitted everything July 29th. I hope I'm not screwed. I'll be really really cranky if I don't hear something good by Tuesday. I was told they didn't know when packages were being sent out..but this is also my not so helpful negotiator that told me this. I don't even have docs uploaded. Hmm, that'll be my "reason" to call today.

I'm tempted to go to El Segundo during lunch...pick up my paperwork, scan it, have someone input it online and make sure it's all submitted properly and expeditiously (sp?) to Freddie. Too much to ask?

Where's Freddie located? Do we have a contact number for them? I'd like to make sure they know who I am and how much they could get rid of me bugging them on a daily basis if they would give me a mod so I don't lose my home.

Re: How long did you/have you waited for Mod Package?

Many here have waited FAR FAR longer than 5-8 weeks for a MOD package! I wish you all the best and pray that everyone still waiting gets help with an affordable MOD. I think a more realistic time line lately has been upwards of 3-6 months or more........ Just keep fighting and do not give in if you truely wish to keep your home.

not so sure I agree with you. Yes, some people have waited that long. But, I have also seen people post about sending in papers the same time I did and getting approved. EVERY situation is different.

It all depends on your situation and how complex your case might be. Income verification can be a trouble if you're self-employed and some investors just are more difficult to work with than others.

Re: How long did you/have you waited for Mod Package?

I was given a verbal approval with all the conditions ( new rate and payment) from AHMSI on 8-12-09. I still have not received the documents. Can anyone tell me how long it took AHMSI to send out the paperwork after their offer.

I would appreciate any answer please

Re: How long did you/have you waited for Mod Package?

Sahm2two,

It took me 10 months. Started in November of 08. It has been a long drawn out process. I feel that I have lost 10 months of my life worrying and stressing over this modification. This site has truly informed and guided me throughout the process

I'm happy for you morainac! It sounds like you have made it through the hardest part, getting the Fed-Ex package. They will not tell you anything about the mod until the end of your trial, but the rules of the mod are set in stone at the Gov website.

Exclamation Re: How long did you/have you waited for Mod Package?

Well, some of you guys know that I'm the one lurking around Looonnnngggg AFTER getting a mod package. I've been warning about the mod packages that you THINK have been IMPLEMENTED AFTER you sent the notarized package back in to CountryWide. I have good reason to continue my lurking.

I have posted the warning of what CW/BofA pulls elsewhere also. SADLY, I have to report that another San Diegan has contacted me. She has been making the modified payments since March but could not get the CW-signed copy. Finally they told her this past week that they did not implement the package. They want her to make up more than $13K. Oh, and they trashed her credit, reporting the payments as 'partial' payments. This MUST be illegal. She was given NO notice that she should not follow the contract that she had signed months ago!

Gag me!

So, instead of the surprise being just at 73 - 90 days, it can actually be even 73-150 days before you find out. And this person was calling and BUGGING them for the final signoff constantly!!!

She meets with her selected attorney for the first time this week. I also will be meeting with mine.

This is disgusting news.

So you need to change the question being asked on this thread:
How long after you started making your modified payments was it before you were able to get a SIGNED BY CW/BofA and RECORDED copy of the mod contract?

They do NOT need to finish the implementation before they sign off on the agreement!

I think there needs to be a LAW or REGULATION imposed that REQUIRES this document to be signed by the LENDER within 7 (SEVEN) days of the date they complete verification and only allow 10 days for that verification.

Gee, are they going to wait longer than 5 months to tell people? I've warned that there could be a future wave of these nasty 'SURPRISE' demands to 'pay up'.

I received the fed ex package today, no obama. The terms are 30 year, 3.25 fixed for 3 years then gradually step up to 5.5% for the life of the loan, interest and taxes are added to the loan. old payment 1575 and new payment 1669. It brings everything current. I am going to sleep on this offer. I may try to renegotiate.

If you don't qualify for the MHA, thats not a bad offer. Wouldn't hurt to try and negotiate a better deal, but as a last resort you could lock the deal and get current, then keep looking into other alternatives. I'm not sure, but I think a judge has more power to help you when the loan is current?

SAHM2TWO: I received my first response directly from CW/BOA about 3ish months after I contacted them. It was a Homesaver Advance which essentially raised my payment so I decided to try NACA at the advice of a co-worker on 5/5. I received my second modification (also directly from CW/BOA) about 8/1. I believe I received another mod directly from the bank in response to the RESPA letter I filed (they have 20 days to respond). This last modification lowered my payment and interest, but added to my principal balance and years to the end. I went ahead and signed that one. I have not yet received a response from NACA -- so it's been about 4 months since I've been waiting on them.

Hope this helps, and best of luck!
