Submitted all my financials to OOP rep via e-mail, submitted financials again to assigned "negotiator" via email on the 21st, told to wait, etc. I had every intention of calling on the 4th to make sure things were hunkey dorey. I took DH to the ER on the 3rd for a possible heart attack (he's 25, but having chest pain, arm numbness/muscle pain, breathing problems and power puked at 2AM sun into mon...not to mention family history of heart disease). We were there all night (no heart attack, thank God, but still stress, lack of sleep, more stress) so Tuesday I was a zombie. I called off work and slept almost the whole day. I didn't do any follow up. Up my stress. Well, since DH is pretty stressed and with the scare, I told him I would take over the family budget. Great in theory, but it's beyond jacked up. I'm not quite sure what I've gotten myself in to, but if I've gotten my numbers right, we can't afford a mortgage payment until November, and I'm pretty sure that's even with a mod. Up my stress a little more. This morning I took all my paperwork out of my back pack and had every intention of doing personal business on work time (I know, bad employee, but really, I don't have the time at home). Pull out paperwork. I have some artwork from my daughter, a couple things from the hospital trip on Monday, some receipts from a couple weeks ago and a bill that I have to send out. My notes from the mod are NOWHERE to be found. Up my stress a little more. So, in hopes of not completely losing my mind, I'm asking for help. Anyone have the direct number for Suzanne Bain? I need to call her to find out why my docs still don't show on my account. Tell her there's no way I can make a payment this month, and figure out what to do next. Oh, and maybe ask what the status of the mod that I supposidly started is. I'm hoping she's easier to talk to than Arely, the "negotiator" who was asssigned to me that doesn't even have a direct phone number. Also, what are your thoughts on seeing if I can add this months payment to the end of my loan. Is that easily done or is that something that is normally part of the mod? I'm current right now, and they want me to stay that way, but it's just not going to happen anymore. I'm gonna curl into the fetal position now. |

If she is in the office of the chairman, you can call 1-800-669-2443 ext. 2773 and just ask for her by name. The rep I work with says they work in cubicles and some of them work next to eachother. |

A few months ago, my husband was talking to me in the kitchen and then he said he couldn't see and just fell over. I thought he had a heart attack right then and there, but after just a few moments, he was responsive and asked me what happened. He just passed out but it really scared me. Crazy what stress can do to a person. I unfortunately do not have the info you need but wish you good fortune. As for being in the fetal position, I have taken on a new position...bent over to take one up the @ss! Hope that last one at least made you laugh today! |

New guidelines for loan modification: Behind on Mortgage Payments, In Foreclosure (Nod or Lis Pendens) Has an ARM That Has Adjusted Higher or Will Adjust Higher Within The Next Month or MAXIMUM Two Month Has a legitimate hardship Reduced income Reduced hours Pay cut at work Loss of employment On disability / worker's comp Divorce / Separation Excessive medical bills Back taxes that are currently going paid back Failed business The client must demonstrate the inability to meet current financial obligations in order to qualify for Loan Modification. Simply wanting a modification does not qualify a homeowner. They must show NEED What Counts as a Hardship? Many other factors can be considered hardships. It is critical to the success of your request for a modification that your lender understands the hardship you are facing and the impact it is having on your ability or make your mortgage payment. Having the right advocate making this argument for you can be the difference between success and failure of your modification request. God bless and take care

I have all the information submitted and we qualify for HAMP mod, but I'm still waiting for the ball to roll a little more. |

I paid two payments while my modification was being decided on and they are now stuck in a suspense account. I dont know what they will do with that money but they didnt ever apply the funds to my account. My modification papers had me late 5 months but I was only late 3 so the figures are done as if I was late 5 months.. |

Melanie- sorry about your mod news HereinNY- How do they explain putting it into a suspense account and not applying it to your mortgage? Do you have an impound account? I think that's the only thing I'm worried about, is the $ towards taxes, insurance, etc. I wish I had the money to put aside, but the well is all dried up. |

I am not sure what an impound account is...I asked several times what they plan to do with the suspense money ($4600+). They said they will apply it when my account is updated. I really wish they would let me skip the next couple of payments so I could put some money toward other bills but I think they will just apply it to principal balance. |

I have a clotting problem that MADE them choose the donor graft. I was really pleased with the result and had no complications even though I had to be on blood thinner after the surgery. I got thru physical therapy and worked with a personal trainer to get the strength built back up. I'd had a delay in getting proper treatment that caused THAT. In fact, when I had the ACL surgery, they finally realized that the initial diagnosis of a shallow fracture on the tibial platueau HAD been correct. I just was not TREATED for it for 9 months and 9 days. (Injury 1/4/01, ACL repair 9/13/01.) I'll keep you guys in my prayers. I can also use your prayers. Seems I have a contract that BofA will only honor if I file suit. It may get tied to a class action suit or 'Uncle Jerry' may end up going after them for not adhereing to the terms of the settlement with CW here in California. Now they have violated RESPA/truth-in-lending it appears. | |
