Naca is not responding to emails/messages...

Does any one have any other email address or phone numbers for naca other than service@naca.com and the main toll free number? I have been emailing/calling since Monday to try and talk to someone about the Repayment Agreement we received on Monday for our second loan. The agreement was due back tomorrow if we were accepting it, but I have not been able to talk to naca to find out if this was the best offer coming. Still have not heard on the first loan. BofA is not helpful, it appears that this is a forbearance for six months to get us caught up and then it MAY be considered for a modification after that. I don't know what I should do....left message for David at BofA, women I spoke to at BofA said this was HAMP when I asked if it was, but then backpedaled when I questioned that it did not sound like what David initially told me he was submitting it for and told me everyone tries for HAMP but there is no guarantee you'll get it.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I have called my local NACA office before when I was not getting responses from the NC call center. I got someone who could look up my account from there. They may be able to give you another number to contact someone in the urgent situation while they are on the "Save the Dream" event.

According to David at BofA, HAMP was what he was going to submit our loan for with our servicer FannieMae. He said what normally happens is they approve the first loan and then will look at the second loan if there is one. This just seems a little backwards since we have no idea what will happen with the first and what was sent for the second appears to be just a temporary band aid.

Often times BofA will generate crap mods that have not gone thru NACA. If NACA has seen it they will email you. Can you call them and hold until you get someone?

Thank you CW, I am hoping that is the case. When I call naca and stay on the line for a rep., I've been getting a message that says none are available and asks me to leave a message for a return call within 24 hours. I do not even know the name of my naca negotiator so I have no other phone number or extension to call.

FedUp02....Home Affordable Modification Program

An update....waited on hold for an hour to speak to naca rep. They did not receive the agreement I recevied, asked for it to be faxed. Also wanted to schedule another counseling session with me for 8/17 and wanted me to fax updated income docs and a tax form she was sending me. She said she could not schedule me before the 17th. Are they that busy? I did just update all income docs on 7/13. Now I'm wondering why I need the counseling session, she just said I should since I'm updating. She said she could not give me the name of my negotiator.

So...I wait again!

Same situation here. I have called NACA and emailed and left messages uber amounts of times and never yet have received any type of response -that is until I emailed them directly thru the NACA website "complaint" area. I just received a response that they will call me soon.

We filed with NACA 5/5 for a restructure and just received an "offer" from BOA. I found out later that this was not in response to what NACA submitted, rather something directly from the bank. We have to send this FED EX back by Aug 27 should we decide to accept. I am not happy with the modification as it adds 13 years and $13k to the end of our mortgage. Our payments drop by $300/mo & interest drops 2% to 5.5. If it wasn't for the additional years & 13k I would accept, but I can't see paying $202,000 for a home that is now accessed at $75. I am torn about if I want to start the process of moving; how will I get a loan with my now-crappy credit; blah blah.

Please keep us posted on your progress. I just am not sure what to do -- if I don't get another offer thru NACA. I don't want to be stuck with NO options whatsoever! Time is running out....

Well, at least you all have been able to get through to NACA. I was supposed to be scheduled to call them today to get an update, but, when I call their number, sometimes I get the recorded intro and then dead air. My most recent calls got me a fast busy signal (three times) or just dead air after dialing. I also tried to go into their website, but got a message that what I am looking for doesn't exist. Modern technology - just keeps getting better all the time!
Maybe I can send a fax? Who knows, maybe it will even get through.

Well, faxed everything naca requested....checked my status on the website and it now says incomplete...it used to say submitted to servicer for restructuring...don't know what to think about this...

i know same here,i wanted to call to get a update cause its been over 30 days already since they said i was submitted but when i wanna hold for a counselor it says "there's no counselor available and to leave a message and they'll get back in 24 hrs" but i cant even leave a message either blank, and i think the website is down too

Just a quick update...my phone appointment was supposed to be at 4:00....at 7:00 naca calls to tell me they are having system problems and they will have to reschedule me for next Tuesday! I explain to the woman that I have not had any update since my submission on 5/29 despite numerous phone calls and emails. She suggested I call member services - maybe they can help me. I call and wait on hold for 45 minutes. I finally speak to someone who tells me they can't check for an update until the 29th of this month, but thinks I may be offered a six month forbearance of either no payment or a reduced payment. They may consider a modification after that. I asked her if that was the formal offer, she said no. ????? I asked her if naca would try and get HAMP. She did not know.

At this point I'm feeling very discouraged. I know others have been waiting longer than we have, but I don't know what to do at this point. I left a message for David at BofA (I don't think it's the same David I see mentioned here - different extension number) who I spoke to when Advocacy could not find our file. I also left a message for Juanice if Barbara D's office to see if she could check the status of our file. Can I ask BofA to consider us for HAMP separate from naca or do I have to cancel any agreement with naca to do that? I've read so many positive things about naca when we first started, but now I'm worried that nothing is being done to advocate for us and I should just deal with BofA myself.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Definately ask BofA to consider you for HAMP and call David Leighton in advocacy. He can usually explain things better and let you know exactly where you are at so you can make a good decision. He will even put notes in your file for HAMP I think. Also call Kevin Winn, the NACA supervisor at 617-250-6222 x254. He really needs to know if the counselors are unable to explain their own information. Keep fighting.

Is it a good idea to attend NACA's save the dream event to expedite your file? I just had my phone counseling session with Naca last Saturday and I was told to call back in 30 days for a status. Will attending the Save the Dream event cause NACA to speed up the process? Has anyone attended the Save the Dream events?
