HereinNY, They also told me to send in certified funds and they told me to do so until the website and statements are updated. She told me it could take 3 months before everything is updated. Have you heard the same from them? 3 months seems like a really long time to get it updated... |

I called advocacy and they did it over the phone. They waived the fee since I was paying it early. I was able to do so because they had added Aug. interest to the loan, so no Aug payment. I think usually it is $12-20 bucks to do it over the phone but I was happy to even pay that as I got a confirmation number and I know it was put where it belongs on the account. (since mine isn't updated yet either.) Hopefully it won't take three months to update but they have a long process to go thru. |

Did yours have the same?Ours is thru MHA so I wonder if Advocacy will take our payment. I'm still waiting on the docs for the Naca mod on the 2nd and I would like to make the payment at the same time. I hope they send them quickly so I can get Septembers payment out of the way. |

My Trial Period Mod docs (HAMP) say to send the payment to the normal payment address in Van Nuys, CA. Nothing has ever been mentioned about certified funds. Usually, banks only require those if you have bounced a check with them in the past. I sent in last month's payment (regular check) to the Van Nuys address and it's showing that it posted but it's in suspension. |

AZ, We've never bounced a check before and our docs don't say certified funds but the BofA reps told us they require certified funds. I guess I understand that they might want certified since it's a modification but I just want to make sure that we're doing everything correctly. I don't want any problems from them. CW, how long did it take for you to get the docs after getting the approval email? |

Personally, I would go by what you have in WRITING and not what someone told you over the phone. If something goes wrong with the payments over something someone told you on the phone, you have no way to prove that "person X" told me to do it this way. However, if you go by what you were told to do in writing, you have proof.

AZ, I'm assuming maybe based on what mod you have, it's different addresses??...I'm not really sure. Our docs say Dallas and when I asked the rep, she said to send them no where else other than the address on the docs. I would prefer sending regular check because I could see when they cash it but I'm not sure I can track on a certified check. I'm going to ask David from BofA if I have to speak to him again regarding our Naca mod. |

Yes I believe so. Just be sure the person on the other end knows how much your payment should be. When I first called they said, "oh you owe blah blah blah, the old amount. I said actually the reason why I am calling is I signed and returned modification papers and I want to make my new payment. She was very nice and said ok let me look in a different place for that. She knew the new amount so I felt pretty good about it.

I got them pretty quick. Maybe within 7-10 days. Oh and by the way. I made that payment yesterday and today I can not access hardly anything on the BofA sight so I am hoping it will be updated soon.

I was told that I can call them and make a payment post dated check for Sept 1 which is also my first trial payment due date. However, they would charge $20 for accepting a payment over the phone. They will give you a confirmation number. |

My docs said to send payment to texas address and when I do, they will get a check. My 1st payment was posted as a partial in that last collum.????????? I got a great Idea! Why don't we all draw names and make payments to each other! I don't think BofA would know any better........... |
