Help? Guidance? Suggestion?

Hi all,

I am new to the forum and need help, guidance and suggestion with my situation. I am employed now but my employer recently cut our salary by 20% which causing my wife and I heartache as we try to make our payment. I contacted BofA and have been given the run around. Here is my letter to their office....

I am writing this letter to explain my unfortunate set of circumstances. We have done everything in our power to make ends meet but unfortunately we foresee that we will soon become short and would like you to consider working with us to modify our loan. We have never been late and or missed any payments on our loan. Our number one goal is to keep our home and we would really appreciate the opportunity to do that.

Our situation of hardship started when I was laid off September 19th, 2008. It took me 3+ months to secure another job. During that time, we used our savings to make our moral and sociable obligations to pay our house and maintain a stable environment for our children. Like I mentioned, I have secured employment however, my salary has dropped by 33% compared to the previous job . My wife doesn’t work because our daughter is still young. Besides our monthly house payments, we have 1 car payment, utilities, home association, home insurance, car insurance, health insurance, child care, food and other necessities to maintain a family of 5.

With my current salary, we are tapping each month into our savings which is depleting rapidly. We seek your help to reduce and adjust our mortgage loan so we can make our payments and not cause any disruption in our payment cycle.
I have contacted your office at 800-669-6607 and have spoken to numerous representatives and have been given many different stories. At one point, I was sent to the collection department and they told me I do not qualify for any program and if I miss a payment you will pursue legal actions against me. Today, I spoke to more representatives and was told that BofA is not the investor of my loan thus you can not help me. After several more calls, I spoke to a Chris, ID 3746 (refinance dept) then Jessica, ID 9528, that I do qualify for the Home Modification Program. I proceeded to submit my hardship letter, finance (2 current pay stub), last year tax record and IRS 4506-T form.

We truly hope that you will consider working with us and we are anxious to get this settle. Thank you for your consideration and understanding of our request to be included in the Making Home Affordable program offered by President Obama. Please contact me at XXX-XXX-XXX once you get this letter and let me know what I need to do to keep our house.

Please let help us. We are getting desperate like many out there and do not want to lose our home.

Welcome to the forums! Are you taking CW/BofA on by yourself or going through NACA?

Ive been trying to take them on myself. But I just read about NACA so I will also contact them. I preparing myself for a long fight and hoping not to have another heart attack.

Update:

Got a call from Angel in the Office of Chairman. She said my paper will be assigned to a negotiator and she will follow up shortly.

Also- submitted all paperwork to NACA.
