Help asap - job on the line

I really need some help quickly. I tried working with CW since August 2008 to January 2009 to no avail. They would do nothing to help. In January 2009, I found NACA and have been working with them. My paperwork took from January until May 2, 2009, then May 9, now May 15 (date keeps changing), to be submitted to BOA/CW for a modification. I called NACA on Friday, June 26, 2009 for an update. I was told that I had to fill out more paperwork that BOA/CW wanted and to fax back to them. We filled them out and faxed back to NACA on the same day. I called NACA on Tuesday June 30, 2009 and they did not receive the fax so I re-faxed it this morning. I really cannot afford to go thru this for another 5 months of them losing my paperwork.
My problem is that I work for the Department of the Army as a civilian for Department of Defense and have been employed by them for 22 years and 6 months. My security check is due at anytime and they check your credit rating for you to maintain your Secret clearance in order to work for them. I have never had a problem maintaining my Secret clearance until all of this happened. I really truly need to get my modification thru as soon as possible before I am called in for my security check. If I lose my job, my husband and I will definitely not be able to afford any mortgage, even with a modification and then we will be on the streets with 5 kids. I know that you are very busy and have a lot of people needing a modification but I really can not afford to lose my job because that is half of our income.
Does anyone know who I could personally contact to help us move our loan modification along a bit faster so that our situation does not get any worse than what it is now. I have emailed Barbara Desore, Pres of BOA, and a few others but not getting anywhere. We really don’t want to lose our home and our children do not want to leave it because they have all grown up there.

giantsfan, Barbara is a good contact at BOA. I would email again. Keep calling and emailing until you get an answer. Be persistant and don't give up.

I know how you feel. Working with NACA since January also and still no answer. I would email Barbara as Sherman stated, as well as keep calling NACA, your Congressman and Senators anyone you can think of. Let them all know that you can potentially lose your job over this! It seems like now days credit ratings effect every part of our life. My husband was surprised to find out during his job search that he could not even apply for a Homeland Security job at the bridge crossing into Canada because our credit is now trashed because of all of this. Not fair that we are judged for a job with the same government that caused all this mess to begin with.
Good Luck and be persistent!

Re: Help asap - job on the line

I emailed Barbara and got a response the next day. Though my file fell back into the same hands of the initial negotiator and denied, my file has now been escalated and handled by a senior negotiator. It should've been handled after the email like the man said but I think he was new. He didn't even have a password to log into my account and everytime I called he had to get his team lead to log him in. I'm pass that stage now and have someone else working with me. Keep trying.... Dont give up.

I have tried emailing our Congressmen, Senators, etc., and unfortunately, here in New Jersey, they only care about themselves and how they can make things worse for everyone living here.

Re: Help asap - job on the line

I think they are same here in Michigan. I have emailed mine and have either received no response at all or a form letter, telling me the wonderful things they are doing in Washington to help stop the foreclosures and the programs that are available to help. I keep writing anyway, I have even sent emails to the President. I keep hoping I will get someones attention. I figure it can't hurt.

Has anyone tried filing an official compaint with your Attorney General's office? It might get their attention as well especially if your state is part of the lawsuit against Countrywide now BOA.

Re: Help asap - job on the line

Actually, I went on line a few months ago to email my general attorney and didn't write her email down bc I had to go do something. The next day I went back on and her email was gone. I am guessing that she was getting bombarded with emails from people in the same situation so they removed her email. I have to find another way to get in touch with her, not that it will do any good. Very tired of fighting, stress is so overwhelming, if not for the children, I would just walk away. In August, this fight will be a year already and it just seems like the tunnel is never going to end.....

Re: Help asap - job on the line

You didn't mentioned the details of loan...are you current? who is your investor? do you have an ARM? have you continued to make your payments? are you delinquent? If your credit is a major concern, keep making your payments as I believe when you start going through mod process payments are not posted as promptly as you would expect, but I read that if you were current before the mod started the lender is suppose to continue to report your loan as current to the credit agencies until mod is completed.

Re: Help asap - job on the line

You should be able to do a search for the Attorney General's office in your state and there should be a way to submit complaint online. That is what I did.
