I have a loan with Countrywide / BOA I applied for a modifacation in March, faxed all my documents in and saw everything appear online as "active processing" all documents were received. It said not to call before 4/07/09. I watched it every day with no changes!! To this day it still says active processing except all my documents have dissapeared!! I have yet to hear from anyone at the mortgage company weather by mail or phone!! I am 4 months behind and have about $40,000 In equity, I owe $164,000 and have only 1 mortgage at 6.3% fixed. I just want to be current!! I sent this months mortgage payment in (full normal amount) and they sent it back to me with a short note that said "Thank you for sending the enclosed payment. Although we appreciate your trying to settle your account. The amount remitted does not represent the total amount due" WHAT?? Now what do I do?? Please help Thanks |

I have completed a mod with CW recently, and I can tell you that a couple of things that you mentioned are pretty normal (as in have happened to a number of us). After a while, the documents no longer show up online. After I called in a panic, I was told that yes, they had them, but over time we can no longer see them. Also, the rep did tell me that after 30-60 days, they no longer consider the financial info and paystubs "current" so it may be a good idea to call them up and give your info to them again.... As far as sending back your payments, they told me that this would happen if A.) I was past due for several or more payments, and B.) If the payments were not sent certified funds. I decided if they were going to make it that hard for me to pay them while in workout, I simply would stop paying I was 12 months behind when I finally got my mod. By not making my payments, I was able to get myself on good financial ground before the modification came through. I am not advising anyone to do this, however, as it is a decision that each person has to come to on their own. |

I just think its so ridiculous that they can't even communicate with people!! I hate calling there because they make me feel like a faliure! I used Countrywide for all my home loans since 1997 and have never been late before this. It's just so frustrating, I have not slept a whole night since March. Just want this to end and be current!! I'm not a bad person, but I feel like one. I sent a copy of my hardship letter with a small note attached to Barbara Desoer (president of BOA!?) Hoping to hear back soon!! Thank you guys for caring!! |

However when I opened that letter yesterday that contained my check, I did fill out the application on NACA but I haven't talked to anyone from NACA or faxed any paperwork to them as of yet!? Was hoping to do this with Countrywide / BOA directly! Am I dreaming?!?!? I hope not! I will keep you posted! |

I e-mailed a week ago Barbara and on Monday I also received a call from Steven and then on Tuesday he called me back with my nego, name and direct number and on Wednesday I received a call from Teresa Yeakley who is my nego. She stated she had everything she needed other than a list of our expenses. SOunds like we are both on the right track. I will keep my fingers crossed for us both and all the other's out like us who are fighting to keep our homes! |

I have tried every day for a week at seven times daily to get ahold of the person they say is my negotiator and no response back. My foreclosure sale date is June 15, 2009 so I am stressed out to say the least. I will keep you posted. |

Faxed all the "updated" documents to the 2 numbers that Steven Nielson had given me! Waited to hear back (nothing). Monday I recieved a fed-ex package from Bac "Home Retention Group" in Tx. the letter also has the FannieMae logo on it. Calling it a "new government program" "The Home Affordable Modification Program" it states that if qualified I will be offered a new affordable mortgage payment for a three month trial period. After a successfull trial period a new loan mod agreement will be sent to me. I called the number on the letter and spoke to James. He knew nothing of my existing loan mod request that has been in place since March?? Apparently this is a completely different program. DOESN'T ANYONE COMMUNICATE?? He asked me all the same questions again (as he could not access any of my documents already sent in) then he told me to wait for another fed-ex package and it will tell me what to do next!! WHAT?? He also said I should call Steven back and ask the status on that end. I called Steven (presidents office) back got voice message saying he was out of town but for immediate attention call a different extention. I spoke with Jasmine who said that my account was still not issued a negotiator yet and was wondering why?? ME TOO?? She said she had all the paperwork needed and would have a negotiator to me within 24 hours. That was yesterday. Today I recieved a call from my negotiator Terry Berrigan has anyone worked with her? She seemed nice, I told her about the letter I had recieved from BAC / FannieMae she said that FannieMae is the investor on my account but knew nothing about that letter. All she said was that James "gave me too much information" WHATEVER!! So now Im confused because I feel like I have 2 mods going at the same time with the same company and they don't even know about eachother!!! |
