In Foreclosure!

I live in RI and have had my mortgage for 4 yrs. Long story to short, we have health and financial problems last Oct and tried to work with CW but it was a mess. We are in a much better situation now but 6 months behind in payments and CW refuses to work with us. Each time I've called I get different info. I've been working with NACA since late April and they finally submitted docs on 5/14/09. Two days later I received notice dated 5/4/09 that I am in foreclosure and auction is set for 6/30/09. CW is still calling asking for payments but says until I pay all arrears and fees that foreclosure will happen. Why pay if I can't stop foreclosure? I notified NACA and they told me to call them at the end of this month and they will work to prevent foreclosure until loan mod agreement can be reached. Can NACA stop a foreclosure at this point? I'm terrified it's too late! What to do???

Don't fret too much. There are people here that were told to wait until one week prior to the sale date. NACA will work for you unlike some others out there.

Don't wait till the end of the month, go to naca site and click "urgent sale date" so it is in their system. Sale date has been postponed two times. As long as you are in a mod review cw/boa is supposed to halt foreclosure activity. Naca will not actively get involved until a week before the sale date. naca submitted my file middle of march i dont call cw i havent made a payment since oct reading this post keeps me grounded and i pray to god we are all spared and keep our homes good luck to all of us
