Requested Loan docs and this is the response

SO I sent my letter requsting loan documents a month ago and after telling me that it had been delayed a few times they sent me this:

Dear Homeowner:

ABOUT YOUR LOAN
Thank you for your recent contact regarding your request to provide loan document(s). Unfortunately, we have been unable to complete this request.

At this time we are no longer pursuing this matter.

A FRIENDLY SUGGESTION
If you need additional information or assistance, you can contact us online any time. Simply log on to your account at
www.bankofamerica.com/cwcustomers. You may also choose to call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-669-6607 during normal business hours Monday-Friday 7am-7pm CST.

What should my response be to this???? Can they even do that legally?

If it were me, I would call them and ask them for the docs...they won't do anything unless they are pushed to.

If you want copies of loan documents from a closing............if you had your closing at a title company, you may want to give them a try.....they should have copies of all of your closing documents. Some servicers will not have every document from closing.........but most have the deed of trust, note, and hud............you may also be able to order those from the online account, or it may be listed on the back of your statement as to where to request copies of documents, which it sounds like they were letting you know.

Sounds like they didn't even read your request!

You can also go online to your account and under Account information there is a link called Loan Documents. I have the note and HUD-1 in there for my account.
