Got an appt with a counselor on June 1st, whatever. Think I'll go through NACA as it will be sooner. Get home and looks like CW/BOA has started calling every hour wanting their money... I called the number which is home retention (yeah right) and got someone in India since it's the weekend I suppose. Talked to this guy and he actually had me laughing at him because of what he was telling me so I had to share. Here's some of the conversation: 1. I don't qualify for a modification because we don't show enough income. I tell him I know this that's why I have called a dozen times over the last two months about my HARDSHIP! I ask again about the MHA Obama program, he says I don't qualify for that either, hmm... 2. He tells me that a modification is only a temporary solution for 6 months to a year adding missed payments to your other payments, I tell him thats a forbearance, modification is supposed to be long term, and he argued this point until I started laughing at him. He also told me that the modifications they are doing are for only 5 years total????? WHAT? 3. Apparently they have 800,000 yes almost a million people that need immediate assistance NOW so they don't foreclose. I say boy that's a lot of people, maybe you should be working harder to help? Hmm???? Anyway I just can't believe that CW/BOA keeps telling me that I don't qualify over and over (even though I supposedly am a prime candidate) how many people have to lose their homes before something changes? It's just crazy and stupid. I have to laugh though, who trains these people? Yikes! |

Although I have no answers for you I do agree the person training these people should be able to come up with something better!!!! I laugh cause every mod i have been pre-qualified for has either been cancelled due to financials and or not recieving faxes that i faxed 500 times and more....I call the recorded message says not to call back til the 28 of may while they are in review of my 5th mod...but I have several messages to call them back.....I think they are all crazy just like the mess they got us into!! All I have left to say is try NACA, fight as hard as you can for your home, do not believe one word countrywide says unless it agress with your logic!!!! I am not how many homes gotta be taken but I am gonna make it a little harder taking mine so at least when I go I have that...disgrace...... |

The call centers in India have to go....totally inept. Everyone should be emailing their legislators, AG's, Senators and Congresspeople on a daily basis about the way they are being treated. I am fighting as hard as I can....going into my 3rd month of not paying...and I went with NACA on 4/17. |

I still remember the day I realized I was my own and cw had anything in mind but, saving homes especially mine!!! WOW. I haven't paid in like 9 months. I just submitted to NACA after very many other fun adventures thru this process. I have been writing to everyone also...keep your mind and humor about you...I must share OBAMAS ATTEMPT AT MAKING HOME AFFORDABLE SUXS!!!!!!!!SRY |

I hear ya those Indians are nice, but don't quite get it when it comes to understanding. At least countrywide could employ a few people in the US to tell the people without jobs the Bank is going to take your house back. Kinda adds insult to injury. I got an offer on my house but can't get anybody to acknowledge it even came in at CW. Keep faxing........ | |

I have dealt with several credit card companies with the nicest people I have ever met on the phone...they are understanding, kind, and anxious to help. I have had no luck dealing with anyone at CW or BA yet...why is this? |

My frustration is that whenever I try to call CW I end up talking to someone that is not actually from CW but working on the collection. They have NO knowledge of any proposals made to me or what has transpired. I never feel like I am actually getting thru to CW -- which is very frustrating to try and workout anything or have them document any conversations properly. Hmmmph! |

"If you give me your checking account number, we can just take it from there and you will be current again." Or something to that effect. It sounded like she was smiling. I think these mortgage companies might be run by demons. |

Later that day a very pleasant woman called and was great help. I may be early in the game but after many frustrating calls and transfers to India, she was tremendous. See my original post. |

She told me that I need to put every single thing I have in debt (which is alot), but in my docs for Countrywide they just wanted my monthly payments elec. gas, car etc. So I got concerned that I did not submit my expenses/income right, so I called this morning and shared my concern with the young man that answered. He advised me that my expense/debt does not matter in a Mod situation because they go by statics of what area you are in, they do not use your actual debt , just your income information. "What"? I said how can that be, my neighbor might not have the same situation. He assured me that this is how it is. Well, thinking Im just a little more intellegent than that, I called back about an hour later and got a very nice lady and explained to her what this guy told me. She said that is the most ridiculous statement she had ever heard. She said let me help you update your docs, so she did it right on the phone for me. It makes you wonder, are these people being trained and knowledgable of this housing situation or are they just virtual assistance.? Every time I call I get a diffenent story, one month they will take my money the next month they will not, mostly every time I have called, which is alot I have to say they are polite, but some of the advise I get is amazing . If you list all your debt, you have too large of a deficit for a Mod. I dont get it. |

I have been contacted twice since I originally posted this thread. Both times I asked if they were calling about anything other than collections, both times they said no. I keep getting the same info, have you called HUD, yes, can you make a payment, no, last time (Thursday) I told them I was going with NACA, because when I asked about the MHA program, the rep told me they do not have the criteria yet?!?!?!? WHAT?!?!?! it says on the treasurers website they are participating?! how can they not have the criteria? I can read it to you people if you want! She says it has to come from the government, my goodness going in circles over and over, CRAZY!!! I said since you obviously aren't going to help and have no interest in helping I will go through NACA, she asked if I had the phone number, I said yes, at least they are aware of NACA so I guess that's good? I wonder if they (CW) realise my home is $460,000 underwater? Yep THAT much! Okay of rant here... |
