What to do??? My wife and I have a 30yr fixed 7% mortgage. We are in foreclosure and just received a notice to appear in court. I submitted all the info to Country wide for a loan mod, but everytime I called I am being told different things. One person told me back in April that we were approved for a loan mod, however another person said it was only for a forbearance period. I currently got a job part-time and have maybe a job offer coming up within the next week. We are just so frustrated with CW telling us different things. We are thinking about walking out on the house, but we love it so much that we dont know what to do. I have an phone appointment with NACA scheduled today, so lets hope and see. If anyone can give some advice that would be greatly appreciated.

Re: What to do??? Bruzer I am in the same boat with you, my loan terms the same...I am not in foreclosure yet but when I spoke with a collector over the weekend, he said "it could happen any time" (4 months behined) We also were ready to just walk away and suck up our loss until we found this board...I don't quallify for NACA because we have 2 houses, even though we are looking to lose both of them...Keep reading the boards here, it has inspired us to fight back and keep trying until they carry us out!

Re: What to do??? Well I just submitted my paper work to NACA, however I missed the phone call today, I was called into work for a couple of hours. I have a question, when CW gives you a forebearance, do they have to send out paper work for you to sign? I was just curious because my forbearance period ends this month as I was told, never knew they gave me one. I just hope to save the house as I re-scheduled a phone appointment with NACA for Friday.
