Countrywide with Wells Fargo investor.

Our primary residence is with Countrywide... Wells Fargo investor. We currently have interest only loan at 4.75% that will be adjusting in May and will include principal.

I put a call in today to Countrywide to see if we would be eligible for new Obama plan. They basically told me that currently our investor.. Wells Fargo is not participating in this new plan.

Has anyone heard of this?

Re: Countrywide with Wells Fargo investor.

I just tried to go to Countrywide for a loan modification and they said that my particular investor (whom they told me they legally did not have to name) had rejected 100% of all loan mods. I later learned that I did have a legal right to know who the investor is, called Countrywide and demanded to know, and after 10 minutes of being on hold they reluctantly told me Wells Fargo. This was just last Tuesday (April 14th). Since then I am on the warpath trying to get anyone and everyone to listen that I think these two companies are in collusion. Wells Fargo is hiding behind the Countrywide name, and Countrywide is protecting their identity. Wells Fargo has accepted government money and should not be able to do this, even if it is under the Countrywide name. PLEASE HELP ME SPREAD THE WORD!!!!! I have only 28 days until they foreclose on my home and I will be ********.

Re: Countrywide with Wells Fargo investor.

My investor is Wells Fargo too. I submitted my financials and documents right after Obama announced the program and have not heard from CW at all. My profile has "referred" as the status. fficeffice" />>>
>>
Their website has this "The company will offer the Home Affordable Modification Program for its own loans and loans it services for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, as well as for all other investors unless their servicing contracts prohibit it."
www.wellsfargo.com/press/2009/20090304_Obama_HAMPSP
>>
Every time I called into CW for a status update, the person on the other end does not even know what I am talking about. I don't know when the modification piece will be implemented.

Re: Countrywide with Wells Fargo investor.

I have submitted documents hoping to qualify for Home Affordable Modification program and it has been confirmed that my investor Wells Fargo does not participate in the program..
We'll see if they will offer some other modification... our payment is increasing by $800 next month..
