Citi contact to discuss credit report

Does anyone have a phone number for Citi (in the United States) to discuss removing a foreclosure proceeding off my credit report.

Hopefully someone who has sympathy for us.

    Thanks.

    Hello niceel,

Here are the email addresses for Michael Cardace or Frank Eliason, they are both Citi reps and are also members here in the forum. They may be able to help you with this or at least direct you to the right department who can.

No problem, and if somehow neither of them are able to assist you with this please feel free to contact Citi's executive team:

I've been going round and round over citi giving me an $8.53 cents loan modification. I had any and all money which was not alot out of my pocket and about 2,500.00 due to agreeing to the gudlines to be able to be looked at for a modification so 3 months later. I was told that I have nothing coming because I was already at FHAs 4.875 interest rate and there was nothing that could be done except to sign the papers so I could get back on track (Yeah right) so now I have tried 3 different companies to do a refi on my house and since citi plastered LOAN MODIFICATION on my credit report. I can't get past companies underwriters because of this even one of the refinance companies did a three way call and these people at citi said even if we had a modification even if it was for only 3.00 its's a modification. I told the rep when I originally recieved the mod papers and seen only a 8.00 and some change I asked what is this a modification NO it's just how things figured out at that time I asked if I should just pay my amounts to get back to my original payment. I had the money but was told to keep it in the bank and use it for an unexpected bill. So bottom line I want to refi my house and low and behold this MODIFICATION note on my report is stopping me from being able to refinance so good luck I have a high credit score and cant get refinanced because what is on my credit report GOOD LUCK

I do not understand why they would report"loan modification" on your credit report. Did you actually sign a loan modification agreement? Or have you missed any payments within the last 12 months?

I receved the paperwork from citi at that time I called citi about the paperwork I was going to sign. I was on the phone with a citi employee in the loss midigation dept and I asked if this was an actual modification for this low of an amount and as stated earlier I was told anytime I am in the forbearance/ loan modification dept I will see paperwork stating loan modification because it will come from that department so yes I did sign the papers but was told that this was just so I could get back to my payments without begining forclosure proceedings and I was getting a too bad type of attitude and during the other month I was told that my credit report would be cleared which was a lie and now I am stuck and can't get refinanced or past companies underwriting due to this. and I was never behind and still not behind or missed any payments
