CitiMortgage Speaks Out Of Both Sides

    Greetings Everyone,

First off my kudos to all of you for enduring the misery the "banksters" are putting you through. . .

I am self employed and my husband is disabled. . .We went Ch 7 non reaffirmed in 2008. . .in CT. . .With the help of Cat and all on this wonderful site, I rec'd a perm mod from Citi in 2009. . .we were ok until our homeowners insurance was canceled and Citi put us in "forced policy" cost us $4824. . .

Fast Forward: In Jan I requested PRA or another mod. . . .after submitting all docs 3X and the countless calls dropped, not available etc. . . .well, you guys know the drill. . .the underwiter called me and stated that we were denied due to lack of income.

We are in default and Citi demands past due plus late fees etc. . .Total: $8,381.65

Yesterday I called my ERU rep and she said I do not qualify for a repayment plan.

I can come up with approx $5,000 . . .does anyone know if they will accept it?. . .I'm getting mixed info on this one.
On a call last week with my ERU rep she asked me how much can I pay?! . . .

Thanks to all . . .I hope ya all have a Blessed Fourth Of July! . . .My Prayers to all who need help on this site. +gmazz

    gmazz,

    This is inline with the questions you were asking Evan in one of your other threads here;

CitiMortgage wants husbands credit and income

You may want to continue the questions in that thread since it is in regards to reinstatement which was already being discussed, so that Evan can see if he can help.

Hi thanks for your prayers! You will have to come up with all of the default plus fees to cure the default and redeem. They may take a partial payment but most want the whole amount and will not accept any less..........Jeffrey

Hi Jeff, You are right as usual. . .I am in awe of your knowledge and very appreciative. . .I talked to my ERU rep today and told her I could pay half of the past due. . .4,200. . on July 9 . . ..she explained that if I do I may be eligable for an 11 month repayment of approximately 350.00 extra per month. . . She sent the request to the accounting team. . .I am anxiously awaiting to find out if the offer will be accepted. . .I will keep you posted. . ."Keep The Faith" . . .my continued prayers. . . .gmazz

Hi Jeff, Citi accepted my repayment plan. . .as described in this thread. . .so the agreement was emailed and I will sign and fax plus western union the downpayment. . .the agreement states pay'ts of additional $380 for next 11 months. . .with the Grace of God I will be able to pay bal sooner. . .

I'm happy to do this but a bit hesitant since they will put this in a suspense acc't until brought current. . .

Didn't qualify for principle reduction. . .had previous HAMP at floor of 2 percent Interest. . .deferred $149,800
Because my I is @ the floor perhaps that is why they denied me PR?

That being said I thought if you meet the following criteria you qualify:

    • Behind in pay'ts (I'm 5 months behind)
    • UnderH20 (For sure)
    • Owner Occupied (Yes)

Jeff, in your expert opinion should I go ahead and take the repayment. . .have deadline of July 20th!

    Prayers + Graditude. . . .gmazz+

gmazz.......Looks like the repayment plan is your only option to save your house. If you can do it financially, I would take the plan.
