My story is under the 'thank you Loansafe' thread. We finally gave up and contacted our Congressman. My husband called and talked at length with an aide, who sent us a release of information form. We completed it and mailed it back, along with copies of our trial modification agreement (I wanted to show that we were supposed to modify October 2008, but have just made our fifth trial payment). Not only that, but Citi told us;
"Whoops! Silly us! We never did send your request to Freddie Mac. You have to start all over again and do three more trial payments."
I hope our Congressman kicks their butts all over the place for what they're doing to us. I've spent literally hours on the phone, sending paperwork and documents, taking notes, and for what? Nothing, that's what.
We have made five trial payments so far, with no end in sight. they want us to start over and make three more, with no guarantee that this crap won't continue. Meanwhile our payments keep piling up in whatever account they're sticking it into. Our mortgage balance hasn't budged since last June.
Never once were we late. We're not in default, aren't behind in any way shape or form. Yet we get delinquent notices EVERY MONTH. Nice!
Our rep is Gary, and he sucks. I'm sorry, but that's the truth. I get that he's new and all, but we've been assigned to an incompetent idiot who has no clue how to help us.
God help us all, because the mortgage companies sure aren't.
