I will need to make my first payment no later than August 13th, for the amount of 1320.00, last time I asked they said it was going to be 1600.00, but last week I called and told Segun that my husband was getting an additional 5% cut next month and my income went from average 700.00 to approx. 350.00 per month. So I am thinking that is why they reduced it almost $300 dollars more. We are very happy! So I am sending my documents requested tomorrow. So after successfully making the 3 payments, they will approve it and the payment will stay for the remaining of the loan. The papers do not say how many years the loan will be or the interest rate, but hey we are very happy from $2777 per month to $1320.00 per month, I cannot complain! We will definetely be able to keep our home with this new payment. Of course I will be more secure once this plan is permanent! So don't give up hope. I am sure that some of you will be receiving your paperwork soon. As he was very surprised that I already had received it. Good luck to you all!! |

Also, I wanted to add is that I need to send in 2 recent paystubs an affidavit and sign some other papers including some tax form and include the 1320.00 by July 13th. So I told him that I thought I had 30 days to make my first payment and that I did not have the money until August 1st, he put me on hold and came back and said okay, call me on that day and make your 1st trial payment over the phone. I said "thank you, God bless you". |

So that's why I called because the form said to include payment with signed paperwork by 7/13/09, yet at the bottom of same page said that the 1st payment needed to be received by 8/13/09 and remaining payments would be due 9/13/09, 10/14/09. So that's why I am making my 1st payment on the 1st, I need to call in my payment. If anyone has any questions about the forms I received, please feel free to ask! I will be more than glad to respond or if I can be of help to someone. IF ONE DOOR CLOSES, LOOK FOR ANOTHER DOOR TO OPEN!!! Last edited by giari3; 07-10-2009 at 12:34 AM.. Reason: misspelled word |

This is why most written contractual agreements discount all oral representations not expressly reflected in the contractual agreement. If I were in your shoes, I will play dumb and comply with the terms of the written communication, especially since the reduced amount is in your favor. The onus is on them to prove why the oral representations from their rep supercedes the express terms of the written agreement subsequently sent to you. |

I gave told him the amount. He said ok. I didn't tell him it was a different amount because I had called him the week prior to receiving doc's and notified him that my husband was getting an additional 5% reduction as of next month and that my income had been reduced about $400. So i figured that that is why it was a lower amount. He previously told me that at the end of the 3 months I would have to resend proof of income to see if we would still qualify. |

I called to get clarification because this was only for March/April/May. So I notified them that I was starting a 3 month trial payment plan Aug. 1 for the Obama Mod. She asked what the amount was I told her the letter just received says $1320.79, she said no, it is for the amount of $1600 that the $1320 did not include the ESCROW amount of $280 per month. So said "I would advise you if you have the money to send in the $1600. So, that might be the reason some of us are receiving a lesser amount! Good luck to all of you! Keep trying and keep calling! NO ONE WILL FIGHT FOR YOUR HOME THE WAY YOU WILL!!!! Do not give up!!!! |

I encourage you to start your own threads or at least ask questions or leave comments. I know that many of you would like to do it, but maybe think your question is not important or dumb! I thought the same way and read everyone's problems for about 1 month. I than decided to ask questions. As dumb as it may sound, I didn't even know how to start the thread, it took me a while LOL. I am glad I did. My husband says that if it wasn't for my persistance and all the calls I have made we would not of gotten this far and perhaps would of lost our home by now. Just like many of you, I have stayed up many late nights with many headaches, sometimes tears, not knowing which way to turn or what will happen. I almost paid out $3,500 for someone else to fax my papers to Citi. I am sure glad I tried to do it on my own first. Remember, it's your life, it's your family and it's your HOUSE! Fight for it and do not give up. Thank God for Moe (founder) of website and *** that is so helpful too! And all the other people that make you feel that, HEY YOU ARE NOT ALONE. There are thousands of us going thru the same thing! Ask questions, or just vent, I promise that you will feel a lot better!!! Go ahead I dare you!! Yes you! Smile and laugh at a joke today, you will feel a little better. God Bless us all! Thanks for reading. Last edited by giari3; 07-13-2009 at 11:18 PM.. Reason: too many letters |

As I was leaving my home my daughter handed me a golden color envelope. I asked her were did you get this from and she said, it was on the door. Outside of the envelope it said in big bold letters: IMPORTANT INFORMATION ENCLOSED. It was not delivered by the mailman and there was no stamp or seal on the outside. It had a hang whole on the envelope. So I guess they put it on my door knob. It was a small paper that once again said IMPORTANT Please Call and in ink someone wrote Citimortgage and wrote 866-940-5787, so of course curios and freaked out, I called. Oh, also it said: PLEASE BE READY TO GIVE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER, WE ARE EXPECTING YOUR CALL TODAY. There was a paragraph below wilth the HOPE # and an extension. A lady answered and I asked where am I calling because I did not understand what she said. She said CitiMortgage can I have your Loan # please. I said what is this about? She kept repeating can I have your loan # please. I said no, I received this pamphlet and it does not look official to me. No stamp/seal, not delivered by mailman. I told her I would call the # I had for CM because I was already approved for the HAM. She immediately hung up. So I called Segun at the executive office. Sergio answered I told him what happened, he said they were probably just soliciting. I was at ease. He then said, that they didn't receive a copy of our tax return and proof of residence. I have to mail it in. I am still not sure what proof I need to send as proof of residence because he said it should of been on the form. I have to call Segun again tomorrow to ask what specifically is needed. Has anyone received anything like that? |

I should of known it was a solicitation, but it freaked me out because we recently just got the pre-trial doc's. Then I thought someone knows that I am behind and owe CitiMortgage, but realized that once you default it is public record. So next time I will just throw it away if it looks suspicious! LOL By the way you are doing a great job on responding to other's threads!! |

Even with communications to CitiMortgage they still send someone out to "field review" to see if one is actually in the home and the visual condition. I want to stay also but am having a hard time getting my loan reviewed or any help in rectifying what I "supposedly owe" them. I am honestly considering all of my options at this point. I have worked in collections previously and have been in consumer residential lending for over 9 years now and have never experienced what I am going through now. |

Citimortgage said it varies by region but they have a right, by mortgage contract, to do this. I've had 4, all since I applied for assistance, phone number is a waste of time. I just wonder who pays these people...probably ME if I ever get modified.....another waste of time & money by Citi |

SillyWorld, your response kind of makes me nervous, but it's the reality of things I guess. I don't see how another invester would want to buy my home if they deny me. We owe $381,000 and Zillow is estimating it at $255,000 it's been dropping. Well I will just ignore the envelopes next time! Anything yet SillyWorld? |

So I will then have my next payment Sept/Oct. Our amount paid was $1601.21 not the $1300 originally stated on documents received. I called and verified, not with Segun (executive #) but another #, which I forgot what dept. They advised me that some errors had ocurred due to the program being so new and not all details were sorted out that my original $1300 did not include the escrow amount of about $280 (estimate). So we are really happy that this is going our way, but now my husband has an additional 5% reduction which is about $250 less a month and my part time average pay a month was about $700, now is only $300. I again asked Segun if I should send him our changed reduced income and he said that he did not handle that. That I should be getting a call soon from someone that will go over all the details with us. He said they need a copy of my Tax Return and Proof of Residence. When they call us, should I let them know about this additional reduction? I don't know if this would blow our chances of getting a permanent loan mod. My friend which has Select Portfolio has had them reduce her payment from originally $2700 to present $1000 because of her husband's reduced hours to now laid off (no income). Has she just been lucky? Or are the companies really willing to work with you according to your income? What would you do? Any feedback would be appreciated! Thank you! |
