Nominated 0 Times in 0 Posts TOTW/F/M Award(s): 0 | I have entered into a trial period with CitiMortage. They have reduced my payments to 31% of gross income. My question is whether alimony paid is excluded from my gross income. I pay significant alimony to my ex-husband which is taxable to him. Due to the federal tax treatment of alimony, I would assume that alimony is his income, not mine. Shouldn't my gross income be reduced by the amount of alimony before the 31% is applied? |
