Angry Cit Mortgage HELL! Please help me, I'm dying in Citi Vomit!

I don't know what to do.

I was finally offered a 3 month trial on 10/24/09 after waiting since June 2009.

The rep on the phone tells me to make the first of 3 trial payments by 10/31/09.

I call Citi and get disconnected 10 times and did this for the next 7 days up until 10/31/09. Eveytime I called, and I am ready to pay on the phone, I get disconnected.

I write to a woman named "Noreen" at Citi (she was the one who told me I have been approved) and she keeps telling me to make sure I make that first payment by 10/31/09.

I leave her voicemails and emails and tell her how frustrating it is just to make a payment because I keep getting cut off.

To add more stress to my situation, she tells me to wait 5-7 business days for a package. Because all I know is I need to make a payment of $1700 by 10/31/09 but I am not told via phone OR email what the terms are. IT's just he mister pay the damn amount or risk losing your trial loan mod.

I'm so frustrated of playing email/phone tag that the 10/31/09 date has passed. I even want to send a cashier's check to them, but again, I don't know which address to mail the check to. (Remember to this day, I have yet to recieve an envelope with the paperwork/terms so I am not going to sent any money to Citi until I know where, who, what, etc.)

So after almost week and half the following happened to me today. Hold on because my story gets better and better by the day. (Oh let me add to that I have been working with NACA simultaneously and Citi did in fact confirm 6 weeks ago, that they did receive confirmation of Naca's proposal for my loan -- all they had to do was run their numbers and make an offer.)

**************
11/5/09

Oy Oy Oy...

OK, I actually called Loss Mit and spoke with "Susan" a live person! So here goes... please sit down...

She first went thru her routine as if nothing had been set up (you owe $10,000 and we can avoid foreclosure, blah blah blah)

After I explained my approval, she checked her system and confirmed that the trial has been approved for $1,738.69. That includes mortgage, tax and interest inclusive. She also said that they are paying the taxe currently, so we don't have to. Any past due will be re-assessed during the trial period and may be added to the amount due when a settlement is reached.

So far, so good...

Then...

She had no record of the paperwork being ordered, so it's not to be here any time soon.

She also said that it can take 3-5 weeks, despite what the automated system has been telling me.

On top of that, because the paperwork has yet to be ordered, the trial is only partially set up. The $1,738.69 "might be" due December 1, it might be due November 1. She thinks that "more than likely" it will be Dec 1, but that depends on the paperwork... which of course may very well arrive after Dec 1st at this point.

She recommended I make a payment "as soon as possible" "just in case it's November 1st.

Now let's make this even better, shall we?

She has NO RECORD of any settlement offer from NACA... despite being told that they sent it August 18. She said "nope!"

Then she also preceeded to tell me that if I make the payment for the trial, they will "more than likely" not accept any offer from NACA since you can't have two offers at once.

I told her that I'd get back to her.

I then tried to reach Kevin at NACA and got disconnected from there several times (who knows what's up with that). I didn't give up... and after a dozen attempts, I reached his voicemail and relayed all the above information to him.

I asked for advice as to what to do... make a payment, don't make a payment, resubmit NACA's offer... it's so confusing.

********

So, here I am deflated as ever trying to save my home AND my own sanity and not knowing if I should pay or not pay or just wait for that damn package to arrive with the loan terms, etc.

Will someone please chime in and share your opinions or maybe you have been through my hell ride and back as well.

I need a hug and a tall glass of beer!

Please do not stress making that payment. Never start paying on an agreement until you receive the paperwork first. No agreement is valid until you receive the docs, sign them, and send them back to your lender. Do not listen to any reps telling you that you need to make a payment asap, they are just trying to collect as much as they can from you. I would follow up with Noreen to see when the documents will be sent out..

Re: Cit Mortgage HELL! Please help me, I'm dying in Citi Vomit!

Many of us using Citi were required to start the payments months before we saw any paperwork. 12 time Citi tried to send me the agreement since July and it never came till the end of October. And than had to restart the trial all over again after paying for 3 months.

Is very confusing. I'd try again with another loss mit person you get by phone, some are newer with less training and experience than others.

On Saturday 11/8 I also had the phone disconnect problem had to start over with 3 reps. Last one said they are having internal phone issues with the overload on their lines.

On the NACA proposal. The loss mit folks don't see what NACA submitted

Hamp can actually be better in some ways and I don't recall hearing of any NACA proposals done by Citi but I could be wrong.

If your investor is Fannie they have some alternatives if for some reason you don't get final HAMP

Re: Cit Mortgage HELL! Please help me, I'm dying in Citi Vomit!

What is HAMP and NACA? I have been waiting for a second mod. since July. I finally faxed them in BOLD letters that I want a DIL. Two days later I was assigned to Bonnie Farrell. She has been somewhat helpful in the fact that she at least answered my email. She emailed me this past Friday saying my file was turned over to the closers for the DIL. I have been trying to get a number for the closers so I would have a contact. We had some people look at our house yesterday for the second time. If they make an offer on a short sale I was told I would have to wait for a closer to contact me and they are 2 to 3 weeks behind. I will surely lose the short sale by then. Also, our renters moved out of our second home yesterday so we can move in. The second house is not connected with Citi at all. I told them this morning at Loss Mit. that we are walking and leaving the house vacant in 2 to 3 weeks at most. They just added it to our notes.....

Does anyone have a contact for the closers?
