I find it increasingly odd, considering this was the method that Citi was recommending we do to make our trial payments. Because I asked, they were nice enough to waive the payment this time, but said they would not be able to waive the fee next time. I know banks are adding/increasing fees to everything right now, but can you think of a worse thing for Citi to tack a fee on than a trial payment for a loan modification... that was lowered specifically to help the borrower MAKE THE PAYMENT? How does increasing your monthly payment by 20 bucks make you any more able to make your payment? Is anyone in Congress listening to us? Last edited by eheller; 10-26-2009 at 07:29 AM.. But...to be honest for $20 I will take the peace of mind of getting a confirmation number right there and then over the phone for the payment. Otherwise you can always send via USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation, I will still choose paying the $20. But I do hear your gripe for sure. |
