Then in may a phone rep told me we qualified for a reduced interest rate for 5 years-payment was $2028, new payment would be $1498. She said to start paying the new amount which we did and have been. on time.(90 day trial period) I kept calling and they kept saying documents were on the way-all while getting the 7times a day collection calls from citimortgage. If we picked up, the rep would always say sorry for the call, we see your loan has been modified. Called yesterday and asked for a supervisor-she said what is your gross monthly income? i told her, then she asked about our 2nd mortgage which i gave her the info . She then comes back and says we have equity in the house and the mod can't be done. Call today and they basically tell me it's all finished- now we are screwed because we have been paying the amount they told us to-they gave me a # to mortgage outreach but was on hold for 55minutes and got frustrated. What is going on here? we are freaking out! |

The reason I'm asking is becasue I am going to pay my HAMP trial payment on 11/1/09, 12/1/09, 1/01/10, but before that I signed a package - "Home Affordable Modification Trial Period Plan" I signed and use the return UPS envelope to mail it back. If you did sign some paper, let them know. hope you didn't pay to the collection Dept. |

I am with CitiMortgage too. the number I called is 866-272-4748. They are pretty helpful. maybe you can give it a try. |

He asked us to resend the hardship paperwork to ask freddie for a different kind of mod- we'll see. Also told me not to pay my payment this week as it could hold things up......i'm VERY skeptical about all of this. |

What's really messed up is that you have to ask for any specific type of mod. Davephx may correct me on this (dave - i know you know), but the servicer is "supposed" to look at all possibilities. That said, I hope you have written your congressman/woman and senators, and everyone else about this that you can. We can't change this if we are working only as individuals. Any one of us could be the final brick that makes the grip the bankers have on us crumble. |
