Long story short, the economy seriously stunted my company and my fiance' was laid off. I was aware we were behind and struggling but unaware we were about to be forclosed on. October 1 my fiance' died unexpectedly and that very day we were served forclosure papers- response due by the 24th. My fiance' willed the house to me- and I now have lousy credit. Will my children and I be able to stay in our home? CitiFinancial said there may be options but wont discuss it further until I fax in the death certificate and will. I will be able to get a death certificate from the town hall this Wed. THREE days before the court date. I'm just so unsure of how this will go down- I want to keep the only home my three children have ever known (ages 5,6 and 8)- Any ideas what may happen? |

You should be able to postpone the foreclosure date to try and work out some sort of modification. I would call the number below today and explain to them your situation: you can contact CitiMortgage at the number for LoanSafe members to begin the process of the modification........... 1-866-255-3901
