| Citi Mortgage & Citi Financial Homeowner Help Center The great people at Citi Mortgage and Citi Financial (which are now merged) have contacted us at Loan Safe and asked that we make sure that their customers know that they are here to help them. We at Loan Safe believe 100% that this is true and will help facilitate this via Citi's new forum. |

(also have a second thru them, but let's stick to the subject). It's been 4 months of trial payments. (the first application was lost by citi - surprise!). Now I've completed my trial period and I'm playing phone tag with an underwriter named Gary, who I have yet to get in touch with. I have just contacted Loss Mitigation (866-272-4749), whom I've been dealing with the entire time. They tell me that Gary is now asking for 2 current paystubs, a hardship letter, etc. - ALL THE STUFF I'VE ALREADY SENT THEM. I know they have the docs. I'm trying to explain this calmly to the rep. on the phone. I've asked him to please pass on the information that a) this is ridiculous, you have all of these documents - some of which I've sent more than once, b) my situation has not changed in 4 months, and c) if I could have spoken directly with an underwriter 4 months ago, we could have hammered out a modification that was fair on both sides with out all these seemingly intentional delay tactics. I also mentioned that he should note that I would be posting this on the LoanSafe group forum and would be attempting to contact Citi's executive response team. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do next? Has anyone had any success with the executive response team or anyone else that might nudge these people into compliance? I am more annoyed than frustrated. Hope you all are having better luck. |

I called it the great STALL game. If you are a basketball fan, you will know "the stall". They are doing whatever it takes to STOP THE GAME. They need time, so they "lose documents" they drop phone calls after you have been on hold for ages, they make their LONG FORM you have to fill out online "disappear" with an error on SUBMIT and you have to keep starting over. They wear you down, and try to get you to give up. I wrote about it here. CitiMortgage: The Great STALL GAME It's frustrating, I know. It's really amazing that they get away with fooling the government that they are complying with the modification efforts, when clearly it's all smoke and mirrors. Best of luck to you!
