Has anyone actually gotten a loan with naca's help?

I have had previous posts regarding my situation. Approved for HAM. Payment higher than what we were already paying, husband got laid off again while in HAM, went to NACA convention, waited 8hrs to meet with CITI rep who tentatively approved lower payment/better terms. That was 8/1. Got an e-mail 8/20 from CITI stating "your mortgage assistance package has been approved. You will receive documents in 5-7 business days" waited and got nothing! 3 days later I got a text on my phone that said "your account is being reviewed..........etc" still nothing. Called 9/1 and talked to Hubert who had me fax EVERYTHING (INCLUDING INFO FROM NACA) again. I have left several messages, still nothing and it is now Oct! I began this process Nov 08. and owe 5 months. Anyone have any suggesstions/advice?

Wow if Citi said you had an approval on the table on 8/20 its crucial that you find out right away before the offer expires. I would suggest to keep calling NACA and maybe the loss mitigation dept as many times as needed be until they can give you the answer your looking for..

Re: Has anyone actually gotten a loan with naca's help?

I have been calling and e-mailing. I have a question; is the "loss mitigation" number different that the "loansafe" number that I have been callilng? what number should I call? I have spoke (have names and numbers) to 15 different people at citi since I started this process. Where do you suggest I start, once again? It would take too long to tell you how many different answers/stories i have been told; I have been approved/not approved, told we can't help, need to do a short sale/then we can help/on the verge of approval for a 5yr mod, canc due to new program, reapplied for new program, approved again, canc again due to "HAM" coming out, then HAM was payment was HIGHER! this is cruel and unusal punishment! why does it take sooo long? for all of the people that are supposedly working for a solution, how come so few are getting any help? sorry for the rant!

Re: Has anyone actually gotten a loan with naca's help?

tracyv, i don't know why either.. i'm in the same sititution as you and have been waiting since 2/09 paying just half payments, so it doesn't bother me all that much to wait i can afford the reduced payments for now, but would like to get this settled. back in july 09 citi rep. did call me and offered me a trash deal, i turned it down and asked him why he didn't go thru my naca rep. he said naca can only suggest a solution and they really couldn't help me and i needed to go with his sorry --- deal or forcloser would most likely start soon. weel i called the excective team member and he said that citi rep. would not be calling me again and i was to call my naca rep. did that naca said citi has all my paperwork on there desk and we are waiting for citi to contact naca with an offer..when i called naca and told them about all of this they said its all part of what the citi reps like to do. contact me instead of naca to shake me down for a bad deal. well i can't tell you how disapionted i am with that citi rep for trying that on me, but am happy with the execitive response so far...but am tired of waiting, but am enjoying the half payments. well see what happens next and i'll keep you all posted...jackc
