Success with CITI and Wells Fargo!!!

just wanted to star this thread you can tie it to my original posts if need be. after starting this process in march and taking the chance on doing the 3 month forbearance we finally received the call we were hoping for.
what we had was Interest only at 9% due to reset in june originally then pushed back to december at a payment of $1896.80...
Approved for a fixed rate of 5.275% for 40 yrs at a payment of $1080.14!!! saving us $816!!! It was a long harrowing experience but in the end well worth it!! we took the path of being patient yet persistent, calm yet firm and above all polite...not sure if that helped out the process or not but it helped us get through the whole ordeal. so to everyone out there keep your chin up and keep fighting for what you believe in and hopefully many more success stories will start flooding this site. thank you to Moe and Evan and everyone else behind the scenes helping so many of us!!!!

Your welcome EWald conratulations that is an excellent modification, way to go!

Good way to approach the lender this is key in the modification process "being patient yet persistent, calm yet firm and above all polite."

By the way were you current or deliquent on your mortgage?

we were current when starting the process in march but realized that with the loan resetting originally in june and my wife getting laid off we were going to struggle...so we were proactive in that aspect

Re: Success with CITI and Wells Fargo!!!

I have a V.A loan , they dropped it to 5 % and I had to pay $2139.72 to get it. I checked with the V. A and the charges are correct. with V.A there are some charges they aren't allowed to roll into the loan . it just about broke me, but I need to keep my home
