Lightbulb Who are the people leaving the little gold/manila envelopes

I have rec'd my modification package and have sent the first payment. The check has been cashed and when I log onto my acct. it shows that my mod is underway. However today I rec'd for the fifth time an envelope with a card inside which says to contact Citi at a phone number. No one answers or it is busy. There is also a number to contact HOPE. Who is this?

This is most likely an automatic message that Citi sends out to borrowers when they become deliquent. I have seen similar packages before come via mail..

Re: Who are the people leaving the little gold/manila envelopes

if i am not mistaken once you start a loan mod it becomes public information and you should expect to see and receive a slue of junk mail from companies seeking out modifications and giving you false hope on something to good to be true.....stick with whatever method and contacts you have been using...
