Citimortgage/HAM/HELP

Loansafe members,

I contacted Citimorgage about getting the HAM after my father passed away we were both on the loan and paid together. Unfortunately, due to the medical bills and other expenses I became behind on payments(3months. I called CITI and was put on the forberance program at 2000 a month which is $600 more than the regular payment this is to much for me to pay at this point. Now, I am 4-5 months behind and getting terrible letters in the mail from CITI. I contacted the Loss Mitigation department and depending on who you get you get a diffrent story. I was told to wait for Home appraisal or assesment for the HAM and call back 2 weeks ago after being on phone giving all the info they told me it was not in the system like I never called. I was also told you cant be on the forberance program and ask for a HAM at the same time. Then I was told if I dint pay the 2000 by August 6 my forberance would be teminated and be in default for forclosure August 26 by letter now I am scared. I need help please any advise would be appreciated.

It seems that you are just getting the run around from Citi and you need some assistance immediately before your home goes into foreclosure. You can try to call these numbers they may be more of a help:

Also since August 26th is right around the corner i suggest you eith contact a reputable attorney in your state or maybe NACA a non profit organization that has helped many here on the forum:
