need answer quick about naca & HAM mod

Sent an e-mail to Citi homeowner help. Someone just called me and said that since I am already enrolled in the HAM program (which I can't afford) that going through a non-profit like NACA won't matter at all and that nothing will change. My second payment is due 8/1 and NACA is in my city this weekend, should I try to have them help me or is it a waste of time? Their information mentions "net pay" versus "gross pay". The HAM is based on gross pay and our interest is 9.7, our payment only went from $2941 to $2765, not really helping us, considering ccards etc.

I would definitely have NACA try and get you a better rate. I think you rate is high.

Re: need answer quick about naca & HAM mod

I agree, make sure you take all your info that you had yo fax in before and all updated info, NACA caN DO IT ON THE SPOT IF YOU HAVE all the updated info...And yes your INT is to high, normal going rate is max of 5.5 and lower, beware of Citi they say anything to blow you off, they want ya to take what they offer an no complaints...

But then again if you are at your 31% of Gross on the mortgage the CC will not count at all, only mortgages 1st and 2nd if appl

sillyworld,
I am not very computer or text savy and I have googled CC and I can't find a meaning. I am at well below 31% and this company is also in my city this weekend. Should I also contact them even though I have received my mod papers? Any help is great help! TIA...I do know that acronym!

I think CC is credit cards. Hope that helps! Go with NACA, that rate from Citi is just their way of throwing you a bone!

Re: need answer quick about naca & HAM mod

Yes CC means Credit cards, but if your loan is far less then 31% of your GROSS than if you had medical or other hardship there is better help, If you feel you need better help than I would go to NACA and see what can be done
